6·25 days agoYeah exactly. In the 90s Chuck Berry was in his 60s. All the stars of the 90s are in their late 50s/early 60s now. The 90s are becoming the oldies.

13·25 days agoThis is under playing how much time has gone by. Generally when growing up classic rock channels would play songs from about 15 years ago. Eg songs from 1975 would get on the channel in 1990, so hearing Bohemian rhapsody on classic rock back then would make sense. What this means is songs from 2010 should be on those classic rock or classic hits channels now
I really don’t know how I’d react to finding out a picture of myself in underwear was put on a jumbotron for Republicans to look at

Chapotraphouse@hexbear.net•“Two things can be true at once.” — person definitely not struggling with cognitive dissonanceEnglish
13·1 month agoI feel like this started with pop culture or sports. In pop culture it would be one person saying an actor is good, then the reply saying they’re a terrible human being, then the next reply saying “two things can be true, they’re a terrible human and a good actor”. Or in sports it would be saying a player is a terrible teammate (or also a terrible human), and then the reply would say the player has helped many teams win, then the next reply saying two things can be true etc etc
