    OK, yes in the films the Orcs make little to no sense and are nothing outside of comic relief cannon fodder, but in the books they aren't like that at all. In the books almost everything "evil" is an artificial or evil magic version of something else as a way to counter it, like the Nazgul were an attempt to fight against Eagles. Orc were actually the first elves to come into existence, and the evil bad guy who was Sauron's boss corrupted and tortured them until they were orcs. They are meant to be a counter to elves, but making people out of evil motives and discordant thinking isn't that great an idea, so they aren't very good at this. but they do have their own language and family units, not weird birthing pits, and make their own choices, there's a few longer parts in the books where you're just following the orcs along. after the war the orc's are pretty pissed they got roped into the whole evil army thing, and vow to never follow "big bosses" again. Also Aragorn gives them their own lands. The humans and other beings that fought for Sauron were all roped into it with his lies and cunning, and were pretty upset when they found out all the horrible shit Sauron was up to, in the books no one's really THAT evil, and the orc's and goblins can be pretty goofy, but also very normal humanoid type of things.

  • yeah, anti public transit has several motivations, the most American is racism. if we have robust public transit, they can't be "whites only" and you can't force the not-whites to sit in the back. so right there. Then you have white land owning hegemony. Why do the busses only go downtown and not to the shopping center half way to the suburbs? because they don't want the filthy poors mucking up their white fort, if you let busses go up to the suburbs then THEY can get there and do all the things they get blamed for!! Lastly, profit motive. mass transit means people can choose to have a car or not. the powers that be are making a lot of money off cars and mass transit will upset the apple cart.

  • Who, me? look, all I'm saying is that the public at large can't grasp that not everyone who walked past Epstein on the street is a full blow child sex trafficker.   • this is why you can no longer get a permit to climb unless you agree to bring down more wight than you go up with, there's also clean up teams that go up every year and try and remove as much as they can, including the remains of people who have died on the mountain, although generally they move the bodies to a less or non visible space, because it's very difficult to bring that much weight back down.

  • Biden likely would have never released it because his donors are on the list, also the general public on the US, if you haven't caught on yet are like 30% complete idiots. A good example of this is that many people in comments on Instagram or other social media have said ''why would anyone even willingly fly on a plane called 'the Lolita express'?'' Because they can't figure out that the press started calling Epstine's plane that long after the accusations and convictions were over with. They're even more confused that the pilot of the plant never saw ANY sexual behavior or implied sexual relationship of any minors on the plane or even adults on the plane. How couldn't he tell?! Because Epstine was a blackmail con man, not a ''hay everybody here's all my dirty secrets! Look at this! It's incriminating!'' Man. Blackmail necessitates obfuscation, and likewise gaining access to wealthy targets ment he ALSO needs to appear harmless and well connected to other wealthy people, who only saw normal behavior. So this list, the flight logs, even the island visitors, will all be at the very least 50% innocent people, if not way higher numbers. You only need a few successful targets to get by with blackmail and if the targets all have lots of money and know eachother the last thing you want is for them to be aware your blackmailing them all at once. And if he never did blackmail and just ran a pedophile ring, the level of secrecy would still be crazy high and he'd still want to look innocent to the majority of people he knew that's how all child abusers and rapists in general tend to behave.

  • It's funny how true it is. I speak completely differently than before I was a teen, and then after being a teen, and now that I have teenage kids, I don't speak like when I was a teen either. then entire language I use on a daily basis has shifted at least twice in significant ways.

  • We're not doing capitalism in the US anyway. You can argue it's state capitalism, but personally I don't see it. I'd say we're deep into full on monopolies and oligarchy. If you have enough money and you buy out it otherwise lock out competing business and create vertical integration, the government will subsidize your business, especially your payroll, and if you go bankrupt they will reward you with no taxes for life, or bail out money that you can 90% give yourself personally as a yearly bonus. None of that is capitalism, it doesn't fit that model. We're also letting corporations call themselves individuals with rights, which is absurd, and it's the argument for letting business openly bribe and sponsor politicians, on top of making it also legal to directly pay politicians to vote specific ways, as long as you pay them after the vote happens and not before. None of this fits the capitalist model. Monopolies are supposed to be illegal in capitalist models because it's known to break the model. Regulations are supposed to stop individual businesses from owning their own supply chain, distribution system, raw materials, manufacturing, all in one company. Because, again, it was always known this would break the model. We aren't capitalist. We're in an oligarchy. Might make rights, money is in charge, and there are only rules for the not owner class.

  • Well, man, that's because it is clearly presenting people with higher education and very white in appearance and culture as the people who should be breeding, and people with worse education and cultural identification and behavior that's more common with not so white people in the US as those that are doing too much breeding. In reality education level has more to do with your parents zipcode when you were born rather than your DNA, and cultural behavior isn't any part of human DNA or a thing you breed for. Sorry about all your feelings, you seem to have missed that I was defending the film for being a comedy and that these opening bits are jokes not a serious attempt at understanding or addressing problems.

  • The movie is a comedy, not a serious attempt to diagnose the world's or America's problems, but the emphasis on ''only stupid people are breeding'' in the beginning of the film is one of the causes of the dystopia, that is eugenics, which is a disproven racist part of academia that had it's part in the nazi movement. So it's a dangerous idea to promote, but that's not what the comedy is about. It's just a gag.
