  • This is a problem with more than just Microsoft. Any software (game, application, library, whatever) that has had many years of updates some of which are breaking, will have this problem with docs.

    Oh you are using version 5.5.24 of xyzlib? All these docs are a mixture of stuff when 4.2.57 was out and stuff someone tried to update when 7.5.14 released.

    I hate it so much when they do it. The writers should just say it the way an IT admin would and move on. Pretending that the character is speaking another language is just anti intellectual bullshit.

  • I HATE that windows will sort folders at the top instead of alphabetically with everything else. I guess it comes from using a Mac for so long.

  • My last phone was an iPhone 7 and I bought a case so I could use wireless charging on it. That was great and made it so I didn’t wear out the lightning connector on it.

    Having something similar for usb c makes sense.

  • I don’t disagree with you but most of the energy that people complain about AI using is used to train the models, not use them. Once they are trained it is fast to get what you need out of it, but making the next version takes a long time.

  • I would look into Tailscale based on your responses here. I don’t know what your use case is exactly but you set TS up on your server and then again on your phone/laptop and you can connect them through the vpn directly. No extra exposed ports or making a domain or whatnot.

    If you want other people to access the server they will need to make a TS account and you can authorize them.
