I've never paid mind to it, but I think I pronounce it like you do. If I focus on not hitting the sh sound it sounds English, my normal accent is West-coast American.
Straw, strength, strip, all of those words I place a blending sh sound before the tr sound. If anything it might sound closest to 'schrawberry'.
Interesting! I'll pay attention to how others say it going forward.
I've been on a bean kick since I found bags of 15 bean soup mix for less than $3. The creamy large Lima beans are my fave. I toss the ham flavor in the trash and make a batch with whatever I have on hand. The following batch was my favorite so far:
20 oz 15 bean soup - soaked overnight
Two small white onions - diced and browned with a pinch of salt and sesame oil
Eighth red cabbage chopped and browned in a skillet
6oz white button mushrooms coarsely diced and browned
1/4 cup textured veggie protein
1 heaping tbsp chili powder
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes with garlic
1 tsp salt
2 tsp potassium salt
1 tbsp MSG
Half tsp cracked black pepper
Half tsp garlic powder
Half tsp paprika
The biggest thing to remember is to make sure that you get the rehydrated beans in a good boil for at least 10 minutes to denature the toxic proteins, otherwise you'll have an upset stomach.
I'd like her to be primaried. She's better than Cuomo, but she was his lieutenant gov and it shows. Her mishearing "Tax the rich" as "Let's go Bills" bullshit really illustrates her place as a corporate Democrat.
Having been released a few weeks ago, Borderlands 4 has kept console players looting and shooting for a while. Being generally favored more than Borderlands 4, the new entry was venturing into new territory by going to Nintendo Switch
Insider gaming may need to check up on their editing workflow.
Subway and most buses $2.90 a ride, and if you use the same payment method it has a maximum combined fare of $34 per week.
That means that if you pay for 12 rides, any more rides are free within a 7 day period.
I think it's great that you're willing to offer help to those in need. $500/mo is enough to really help you out with expenses, but likely cheaper than they're able to find elsewhere. Especially considering that the environment is supportive and safe for them.
That being said, I would strongly recommend getting them to sign well-defined contracts that you get from a real-estate lawyer to help shield you in the case of it turning sour.
My coworker just got finished with a year-long legal battle trying to kick out someone that he allowed to bunk in a spare room for a few months (completely free). Despite them not paying room or board they were classified as tenants and therefore had legal protection that they took every advantage of and made my co-worker's life hell. I'm all for strong tenant protections, but there's always going to be the exceptions that abuse the system. I would follow your heart on the payment side, but insist on contracts to protect your livelihood. Don't let a good deed ruin you.
I can't say I've forgotten where I am, but very occasionally I'll see a landmark or just a general vibe of a place while driving and get hit with immense deja vu or memories of somewhere I used to live. Then I'll get on Google maps and look the place up to see how much it's changed.
After the first episode I was expecting something like March Comes in Like a Lion & A Silent Voice, halfway through this episode I thought we're going the Re:Zero route, and now I have no idea where we're headed.
I suppose the opening animation was a misdirection, I'm curious if it will be different next week.
