I'm sick and tired of the Capitalist religion and all their fanatic believers. The Western right-wing population are the most propagandized and harmful people on Earth.

  • I feel I should know this in my bones after so many years, but does 'privileged' in kernel context also include 'sudo/sudo su' elevated users ? I wonder if the kernel distinguish between pure root, and elevated user ..or if it even matters here ?

Anyway, this is cool. There's a ton of crazy file systems that just didn't pan out bc of speed issues. I'll just leave these links to filesystems.

https://github.com/libfuse/libfuse/wiki/Filesystems A ton of cool ideas!.. I need my AI to have access via fuse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_in_Userspace?lang=en less crazy systems but probably stable projects

    Thanks for sharing the info!

  • Does that mean that all Fuse filesystems automatically gets this huge boost ?

  • That's all I needed to know. I'm deliberately avoiding all scamcoin related projects..

  • And now with LLMs, the industrial-scale spamming of the web is likely to grow exponentially.

True, but these things can also be used by us, to curate/maintain a high quality link collection. However, I'm not sure 'pages' will be read by humans in 5 years, so I have a feeling we wont need such a collection anymore. Well, not for humans but probably for our individual LLM's.

  • A 'State' is not inherently bad. That's just libertarian propaganda/dogma. Self-interested psychopaths in charge of a state is bad..

  • I think AI exposes how little trust people have in Capitalist organizations.

  • Ubuntu, Arch, Manjaro and now Guix as my hopefully permanent home. Guix is one configuration file, and zap! the system configures itself from that. There are oc a lot of other goodies..

  • Because I’m okay with that.

You daredevil you - LIVING ON THE EDGE ! ;-)

  • remindme! 2 years

  • Hm, I would think users could get good value out grouping search subject and selecting the best engines for their need, and receive a good spread of results from a single search.

..also, our upcoming swarm of personal AI's might benefit from such a selfhosted search service.

  • I wonder how many peeps blocked you before they reached line 3.. :-)

  • :)

  • Guix is imho beyond normal distros, and I'm never going back to Manjaro or any of the normal distros.

  • I absolutely love it, and I'm never going back to an ordinary distribution again. I do fine regarding software. I use standard channels, non-free channel, flatpaks and a few appimages. I can't think of anything i'm missing atmo..

  • Just a thought, but in a few years all old ugly photos can be refined, upscaled, content edited, rotated and animated - in 32K ultra. It could even recognize the exact mobile model a random photo was taken with and pre-set the best filters.

It prolly won't matter much if the photo is taken with a hundred year old handheld plate camera or a brand new digital mounted one - it will look great regardless.

Are you sure photo hardware is the way to go ? I think I would just use whatever you already have and upgrade the pictures later when the software allows it.

  • If low on hw then look into petals or the kobold horde frameworks. Both share models in a p2p fashion afaik.

Petals at least, lets you create private networks, so you could host some of a model on your 24/7 server, some on your laptop CPU and the rest on your laptop GPU - as an example.

Haven't tried tho, so good luck ;)
