  • First link didn't work for me but second link did. Spelling mistake or something?

  • Lol this scene looks so old, and yet it still holds true

  • We need a one-state solution but Israel has stopped every attempt at peace and reconciliation since before it was even a state. They purposefully funded Hamas and have taken key parts of the West Bank to prevent Palestine from having a state. They don't want peace. I don't know why that's so hard for people to understand, especially considering the violence they've been doing to Palestinians for years before October 7th. They put Gaza in an open air prison, cut off travel, electricity, food (they put them on a calorie limit - cruelly calling it putting them on a diet), sleep (the constant buzzing of drones made it difficult to sleep or study in Gaza and constantly traumatized them with stress and fear), Trash, water, etc. I hate the both-sidesing. Hamas is a response to horrible conditions. That's how they recruit. Israel needs to stop being an oppressor, they need to make the move or be forced to do it. It's not a both sides need to be nice kinda situation. One side is a response to the other side's violence and colonialism, one side is a symptom, not the cause.

  • He's pretty good on most things, except the genocide issue. Which is unfortunate because that's a big one for a whole lot of people. Which makes sense. No one will say Mussolini helped the trains run on time or Hitler's wars helped the German economy. The other bad things they did make those things seem less consequential. Genocide is like that. A lot of people here are lucky because they live in the imperial core, but for others who knows those being affected by the foreign policy, then it's priority rises even more.

  • I hope Biden can grow and improve quicker, like preferably before election day so a bunch of voters won't feel bad about voting for him. I really don't want Trump.

  • Thanks for the great summary! It answered my questions as well. I hope you don't mind but I liked your comment so much that I put it on !bestoflemmy@lemmy.world

Which I think I'll also subscribe to lol

  • Correct, but girls was their mark of differentiation. Without one, what will they do with this other organization going on their turf? Will they react? Adjust? That's what I'm saying.

  • Exactly.

  • What a cool system where a judge openly breaks the law for the man whok appointed her and supreme court justices openly take bribes, and there are no consequences for either.

  • I like how you avoid saying what the issue is, because it sounds a lot worse when you say it's genocide. I think that's a fair line in the sand to draw for people. Hopefully Biden movies on that stance soon so we don't get Trump. We all better keep pushing him.

  • So is there a point to the Girl Scouts now? What are they going to do? Start accepting boys? Or try to widen their activities to compete with the Boy Scouts so they don't lose membership?

  • You haven't even offered any counter information. You're just accusing people of lying or not researching when they're the ones pulling out actual graphs, figures, and historical facts.

  • Ya, probably not. But it's a shame to see so many people enjoy this game and now not be able to enjoy it. And I haven't even played it, I've just been thinking about it and seeing these posts on Lemmy.

  • No, but I could see the misunderstanding. When I said "here", I meant on Lemmy. I was just commenting on the people from Israel I've met so far on Lemmy. And how I also would love to see some more varied opinions from Israelis here on Lemmy, because the few I've run into were pretty pro-genocide.

  • Can Sony implement PSN accounts in more countries? Seems like this would fix it lol.

  • I've seen a couple and they were mostly Zionists defending the genocide. So far, they haven't reflected well on their state, but if there's anyone who actually doesn't like the atrocities committed by Israel in Israel, I'd be curious to see if they exist here. The only one I've seen in articles is that one who sent to jail instead of participate in the IDF.

  • Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. How could they not show any in an article dedicated to his life and legacy?
