  • You didn't read my comment, did you? I mentioned in my comment, that society holds girls and women to higher standards, and it's effects on performance. Which is the opposite of pandering.

  • Well that's the most delusional thing I've heard in a while.

Did you know that women's brains develop faster? Different sources say different years, but it seems to lie between 1 to 5 years on average depending on what age you look at.

Estrogens stimulate development of the frontal lobe. Executive functions, risk-assesment and empathy to name a few tasks it does. Which plays a role in why girls with a developmental disorder, are often able to compensate enough (masking) to keep up with their peers, or even be in the top of the class. Boys on the other hand are less lucky, and their grades are affected more clearly by the same disorders. ASD, AD(H)D, dyslexia/dyscalculi to name a few. Interestingly, hyperlexia is almost only seen in girls. While it is a developmental disorder, it often works in their favor in school settings. Estrogens appear to play a role in language development.

Estrogens also improve memory and learning. It's why women have a better memory than men on average, and why they are outperforming men academically on average. Yes, women will remember everything you said to them. For good and bad purposes.

Estrogens also play a role in social development. Which is why girls often prefer playing with toys that have a face on it, and integrate social feedback more often. Part of the reason girls are held to higher standards, which results in girls working harder in school, and suffering more often from performance/achievement related stress.

If anyone has a child's brain at 30, it's you mate.

  • Oh didn't you hear? It's Mr. Molly now.

  • I don't speak any Spanish, but am able to guess and discern Esperanto due to its simplicity. It's a dope and easy language.

  • There are other mechanisms that can result in ADHD symptoms. Such as depression, burn-out, personality disorders and, the internet's favoured, trauma! Also, ADHD has overlap with Autism.

That said. Some of the issues people with ADHD struggle with, are executive functions of the brain. Which take time and effort to develop regardless of whether someone has ADHD or not.

  • Thats easy to solve though. It'll appeal to women if the sexbot can do household chores. Who wouldn't want a robot maid?

  • Which makes sense. You get only one shot at life. So being more sensitive to negative bias could be an advantage to the individual.

  • I am. I needed help and so asked friends and family for it. It took me 3/4 year longer to get my shit on track than it could have.

  • That's true. While executive functions require training in order to develop at all. And that starts at the bare bone basics.

If you are old enough to apply for disability stuff, you can find a way to get yourself to fill in the form. ADHD makes it hard to, not impossible.

And if you truly struggle, ask someone for accountability, or to help you fill it out. Even if it has to be a stranger online. ADHD people tend to be creative, thrill seeking, out-of-the-box thinking, fast-track minded people right? They procrastinate more than average, but crank out loads of work right before the deadline. Make it work in your favor, as decrepid as the disability may be. ADHD is an explanation, not an excuse.

  • Perhaps it is time to reconstruct what faith means to you. Such as writing out what about Catholism you don't want to lose/leave, and what parts deserve change.

Re-invent what it means to be a believer. You don't have to change faith/denomination or become atheistic for it.

And perhaps, see how other christans (or other faiths) handle sensitive religio-politically charged issues, how they approach and treat people. Each community has it's own version of common sense after all.

  • Had a similar situation. I've had chronic nightmares since childhood. I noticed I acted differently in my nightmares. Much more pragmatic and merciless. Makes sense since I was fighting demons.

Unfortunately. I got stuck in my fight/flight response due to chronic stress. Resulting in "dream me" becomming "awake me."

I lost my ability to experience love, empathy and could no longer process positive emotions/feedback. I had destructive thoughts that extended well beyond healthy. I wanted to do stuff that I didn't want to, morally speaking.

I wasn't a different me. I was myself as much as any other day. It was a part of me that became more pronounced. The worst part.
