  • Can’t you go pester Kennedy instead?

  • Maybe it’s a riff on the people who stuck signs on people’s backs in school and how that one artist never grew up.

  • Wouldn’t they just use their trunks?

  • Well, ‘good’ by US standards.

Wish we had Japan standards :(

  • For him it’s more the heavy rain and lack of safe bike paths… but that’s another discussion.

  • My friend’s work is over an hour from his house by public transport—if public transport is working, and it’s a weekday. If it isn’t working well, if it’s late, if it’s a weekend or holiday, then it’s closer to two hours (or more).

It’s 15 minutes max by car.

And he lives in a place with good public transportation.

Until we improve how public transportation runs, so that it really is designed around how people need to get from A to B, cars are going to be the more popular choice.

  • Yup. The needle hasn’t moved from around 40-45% support since he took office in pretty much all the polls. Sooo many Trumpers in the country around me and they’re still cheering him on with brass bands. Hell, just drove by a bunch of them the other day holding a ‘Thank You Kennedy!’ cheerfest.

This is just a copium article for us people on the left.

  • These days people put out a lot of their personal information online. Often people blast their name and location without a care.

Even if you are more careful than that, you probably give away more than you think. And it is still possible to look up addresses once you get someone’s real name and general location. Someone with a grudge can spend a frightening amount of time looking though past posts and such to piece together where you are.

  • I’m just staying that the military won’t depose Trump.

  • The military is a machine, not a person. You point, click, and tell them what to shoot. That’s it. They don’t do political policy.

And really, that’s a good thing if you think about it. Like it or not, Trump and his flunkies are in the White House because the majority of voters put them there, so when you get down to it, it’s the majority’s job to get rid of him if they don’t like him.

I mean, do you really want the military to go, ‘hey, we know y’all elected this guy, but we don’t like him, so we’re going to just get rid of him’? Just because they’d be getting rid of a guy we don’t like this time doesn’t make it a good thing.

  • I mean, I understand it. I think it’s stupid, but I understand it.

They believe Good is something you are, not something you do. So anything they do is Good, because they’re Good. If a Bad Person does the same thing, say, running up debt; they did something Bad, because Bad People only do Bad things.

  • You’d be surprised; he was a big influence on the younger MAGAts and pulled a lot of dumb kids to their cause.

I suspect the big tour he was doing was part of a project to groom him to take Trump’s place as the leader of the MAGA cult once the orange menace kicked the bucket.

He had about the same kind of charisma and the skill to make himself sound smart and successful to dumb people.

  • Before their media blitz campaign, Hormel’s Spam was eaten in perhaps 20% of households; after the campaign it was closer to 70%.

Ads do work, if you do them right. People go for what they’ve heard of over what they haven’t.

  • Huh. Isn’t that the Sin of Greed then? Seems even if there had been a rapture they self-selected out.

  • Maybe do what Republicans always did when they were in the minority and hold the government hostage? I mean surely they’ve seen the move often enough by now to at least give it the ol’ college try…

  • They always are. Mel Brooks pointed that out years ago.

  • Reading comprehension: 0%

  • If you really think institutionalized racism doesn’t exist anymore, I have some bad news for you…
