  • Robinson was already like 15 points behind BEFORE this news. I'm not sure this will say many people. He has already publicly denied the Holocaust and called Jewish bankers "the fourth horseman." The only thing I could see having an effect is that he jerks it to trans porn despite being anti trans and the fact that he paid for his girlfriend's abortion despite calling abortion genocide.

    Although it only bans ranked choice voting so at the very least approval voting would be an option. The STAR method might be iffy.

    Regardless, changing local voting methods is much more likely than a 3rd party candidate getting elected to the presidency with no candidates at the local level.

  • Inflation is the overall increase in prices. If I inflate a tire at 10 PSI/sec and then I slow the inflation to 5 PSI/sec, the tire is still inflating. Saying prices have not fallen is a given since that has not really happened since the Great Depression. If the Fed kept interest rates high despite lowering inflation we eventually would have gotten deflation which is something we absolutely, positively do not want. Wage increases have outpaced price inflation since early 2023. Inflation was greater than wage growth in 2021 and 2022 so your experience sucks but it doesn't seem to be the norm.

  • Do you mean 25 years ago? Twenty years the rate was around 1%. Back in July of 2000 it went up to about 6.5%. But inflation was on the rise at that point. It has sharply declined now.

  • One note: document everything brought up to HR. If it is a small HR department, they could very well be friends with the supervisor and take their side. HR does indeed exist to protect the company but it is also made up of people (often extroverted ones). Documenting everything can help you out if there is any sort of retaliation. A threat of a lawsuit is absolutely something that can make a company be very apologetic and much more generous. I have had several friends that made sure they documented everything and were given six months severance when there was a possibility of a lawsuit.
