  • not in the US anyway

  • people love to forget. History is so important, even short term history

  • exactly my thoughts, i been wanting look into this. seems like they are trying to MITM even onion traffic

  • Thank you for responding, the communication is much appreciated. Seems like poor timing with the attack and monerokon happening at once, for sure.

Yes, agreed, as said in another comment, it would be really great if such things could be communicated to the community. I recommend a banner on the site with the latest update and a link to a mastadon page or a third party blog page (so people can bookmark it in the case of a teml shutdown). All of the words you gave here should be in such a post. otherwise people see the infamous CF MITM page and have to assume the worst :(

Thanks again for the response, I really hope the team is able to get some long term non-Cloudflare mitigations very soon.

  • if they want to bypass all TLS, then yes, mr smarty pants

  • factual statements

people won't listen because they know it's true but dont wanna admit. willful ignorance

  • you can press one of the buttons, if it's one of those with the eight buttons (4 on each side of the screen. for me it was the second button down from the top on the right side. i only had to press it once to mute, but i heard u might have to press up to 4 times

  • ofc. they are all catch-alls for the NSA. people think the NSA is monitoring traffic as in looking over our shoulders. like direct interception. nope, they just let a few megacorps convince the entire internet to pass everything through their servers, then buy off all the data.

Once again, the earthly principle of all things being ultimately voluntarily, is still true.

  • do they take monero? also it seems they have a cloudflare mitm attack and dont have an onion

  • you can probably set the virtual camera to an image i think, i cant remember, it's been a while since I messed with Android Studio

  • wondering if you could do this in an Android VM

  • yes, and it's a travesty. very sad. that's what my post was lamenting really, that so many just allow the monster to spy on all their users.

the Monero team is good at what they do but they dont always make the best decisions. like why depend on Microsoft Github? and remember when they put a CCS wallet on Windows and then got the funds stolen?😂 And of course, succumbing to the Cloudflare MITM filth.

  • monero bros don't want things to get too centralized, that's the issue. creating sources of trust isn't a very good idea if it can be avoided.

however, the idea of an exhaustive info and link aggregator is a really good idea imo

  • Yeah would've been nice if Cake Wallet would've used Monero.com for something like this what you're saying, other than their dumb wallet, but here we are..

Anyway I think this getmonero.org is more than enough for people to get their feet wet. Pointing them to an exhaustive source right away is too overwhelming.

However, I do share your sentiment for an exhaustive Monero information aggregator and learning center. Monerica comes to mind, but i think it's mostly focused on the circular economy.

is the domain onemonero.com one that you own?

also MoneroLand is a cool domain name lol

let me know of you get serious about this, I'd love to contribute my personal KB and knowledge to the site
