  • So basically, I had Gmail as my backup email, so when I got some emails on my Proton account, it sent messages to my Google email saying that my Proton email had received messages and who they were from. They were regarding purchases I made, so it basically defeated the purpose of leaving Gmail if Proton sent them my purchase history anyways.

    I removed the backup email and it fixed the issue. It still pisses me off. Also Proton tried as hard as they could to force me to collect all my gmail spam in that account. I got around that by making a bogus gmail and then signing up to proton with that, IIRC.

  • I thought ICBMs use silos. Rockets launching space payloads use launch pads, then they have space probes, experiments, observatories, novel imaging systems for gather knowledge about the cosmos. Rather than just solid rocket motors, they sometimes combine those with chemical propellants or just use chemical. Then maintain orbit with hypergols. The missions are much different, have much more rigorous and extensive command and data handling, way more complicated logistics, and way more mission flight algos / coding. Manned flights also have a lot more qualification, fault management, training, quality control and safety efforts.

My wife went to DC to lobby for an issue and tried both parties. It's a thing they do. He never specifically said he actually preferred one over the other, just that he got the response. I'm more interested in what the specific lobbying effort was. I am suspicious of them only because they are lobbying in US in the first place and because I'm suspicious of everything at this point. There was no damning info in the reporting on this issue.
