  • I mean, whoever is building that for him was never getting paid. So it really doesn't matter what it costs.

  • He'll get it too. Because nothing is ever enough to sate the owner class and they no longer fear us.

  • In fairness, that is asking a marine to have thought something through.

  • One kitten!

  • You're probably right, particularly since it is pretty likely that current supporters would not have said good riddance in response to Kirk's death.

I think I am just so angry about the current state of affairs and all the shit Trump keeps getting away with that I was reflexively hostile on seeing "voted for Trump".

  • Preparing!?

  • The group I meant was Trump voters, not firefighters. I would have been more specific if I had realized the comment might have been interpreted as being anti firefighters and EMTs, and pro conservative/Trump.

  • Why did she want so badly to be in a group that does not want her. Maybe that's a sign, dumb ass.

Edit: I meant she is a dumb ass for being a Trump supporter, not for being a firefighter.

  • I will admit that I assumed that all involved in that leak would be better off for it. Maybe there's a glimmer of hope still.

  • I suspect you wouldn't say "you know, that guy threatening to shoot me in the face with a shotgun seems like the right person to protect my face" either, in fairness.

  • They never ask in these stories - would this Trump supporter be continuing that support even after being kicked in the dick? That's the only part I'm interested in, because everything else these supporters talk about in these stories are things everyone with a brain saw coming.

They stand in front of the steam roller in Austin Powers and get squashed - would they do it again? My guess is they would, but I have to guess because no one ever asks!

  • Agreed. I won't complain about a good thing being done. I was just speaking to what I believe the "why" behind it was, given the person I replied to was, facetiously I'm guessing, expressing incredulity that Newsom was doing something that doesn't immediately line his pockets.

  • It's part of Newsom's presidential campaign.

  • Trying to set up plausible deniability? There's no way these social fabric ripping fuck heads don't know exactly what they are doing.

I would call the decisions made in horror movies smart and well thought out ages before I believe this crock of absolutely intelligence insulting bullshit.

  • I imagine that was part of why he was saying the outage would be from imbeciles.

  • It seemed pretty obvious to me. People whooshed on that one hard.

  • Maybe he's learning, and while resistant, is still exploring the topic. First he says he thinks it's fine, then he goes, hey wait do people really think this is so bad?

I don't have a lot of faith in people left, and I realize it's a reach, but we might be seeing a realization in process, and it may result in a future behavioral change.

  • The CEO when he learns of it:
