Any thoughts on the various sizes/qualities in the post body here? When it comes to the version to post, I figure that the best middle ground between high quality and low file size is the one I labeled as "Low quality WEBP". What file size should I aim for?
Ok, this isn't right in a lot of ways, but I am desperate. Things are, in fact, very bad for me. I'm working on making a web comic: https://fosswars.thecomicseries.com/
Over the last month or so, I've tried a bunch except for Gimp (which the last time I checked had about 3.4 trillion things I don't need) for meming
That is a good point. As much as I like to use GIMP to make memes and encourage others to do so as well, if that is the only task you need it for, it is just overkill (and more importantly, confusing). It is a great software for me to make memes with because I am so familiar with it, including knowing which tools are useful for making memes (and more importantly, which are unnecessary for the task). But if you just want to stitch two images together and add some text, all the buttons and menus could sure be overwhelming.
Agree. For things like semantic versioning, in which "1.20.1" and "1.2.1" are two different things, you want to pronounce them "one point twenty point one" and "one point two point one", respectively. But that is a bit of an outlier. File size should be pronounced "normally", because "1.20" and "1.2" are the same value.
