I had always interpreted that as Starfleet not allowing captains to be married, and also that she was also genuinely unfit for command herself. But looking into it, I see that apparently Roddenberry later stated that the comments did actually refer to women not being allowed to be captains. And that he had immediately regretted adding that.
That is exactly where I got the source video file to make this out of! I haven't played it at all, though. I just downloaded all the MP4s from that site so I could simply watch it all locally as if it were an episode. Which wasn't all that fun. It is probably much better to experience it as an interactive game.
EDIT: If anyone wants to just watch them anyway, here are the direct links to each video (since a simple list like this is nowhere to be found on the site itself). To watch at a lower resolution, replace the 1440 in each URL with either 1080, 720, 480, or CD-ROM. You can also use yt-dlp to download them.

They always fall out and hit me on the head when we take damage.”Billups: “Well, their non-centrosymmetry disrupts the charge leptons in the isolinear pathways of the main deflector, which then causes-”
That would be bad enough for a Starfleet team, but being part of the incredibly secret and elite Section 31? And as their "alpha team"? It just doesn't make sense.
The woman who plays young Rachel Garrett does a good job
Why would Starfleet even send someone to supervise the team on their behalf?! That really does not go with how Section 31 had been shown to function. There should be nearly nobody that even knows Section 31 exists in the fist place, let alone some random junior science officer.
the effects are all very pretty
I thought the shapeshifter's visual effect was neat. Especially compared to the DS9 changeling effect.
I never understood the love for her Star Trek characters. It seems that people who hated Discovery at least complimented the Emperor Georgiou character as a high point. She is far from bad, but I just don't get it.
