  • Yeah, people don't consider it as showing ID when you scan it at an automated kiosk to get your boarding pass even though it is.

  • How do you eat a 140% tarrif? Set the actual items value to a negative number?

  • America is in dire need of competent leadership and Arkansas said no.

  • Man, anytime I have been under an NDA it's been about boring, mostly useless stuff related to Canadian telecom stuff or upcoming Microsoft products since I work in print and deal with those companies. I wish I got to see stuff like what you get to see, probably way more interesting than knowing the Xbox 360 would use an amd gpu instead of nvidia or that carrier A's pricing strategy is to copy carrier B.

  • To be fair, Carney is an economist with a doctorate, the former governor of the bank of England and the bank of Canada. He's up against a "businessman" who couldn't run a casino profitably.

  • If you're in Gaza and not IDF, you are a target of the IDF. It's that simple and completely evil.

  • 90 day timeout so markets can recover and people can sell off stocks?

  • On April 3rd my Google news feed was all 2 day old April fools articles and one 2 day old article about a game that was free for the next 24 hours.

  • Meanwhile, anyone with a halfway decent high-school education, knows this is what happens when you engage in a trade war with all your major trading partners.

  • I've said mean things about Trump online so it's going to be at least 4 years before I consider stepping foot in the country again.

  • But Cubans love to vote republican to stop the communists.

  • What's that? Donald "dictator from day one" Trump is doing exactly what he said he would? Well, to be fair, most politicians don't do what they say they will so it might be taking people by surprise. Too bad he promised to be absolute garbage and now that's what they've got.

  • If you have an android device, setup a second user account with nothing on it and use that when going through customs.

  • As a Canadian that is the one thing I would love about it. Millions of new citizens, almost all voting straight blue for at least a generation.

  • Hypothetically, if I have tailscale setup, would that be a viable workaround since everything looks local on my tailnet?

  • When I stream from my plex server it's a direct connection between my device and the server. The only time it proxies through plex is if your server isn't directly accessible, like ports are blocked or not forwarded properly.

  • Attacking a sovereign nation because you want to own them is what anyone else would do? That's kind of fucking terrifying from my Canadian p perspective.

  • I've noticed that 2x rolls of toilet paper usually have the most sheets per roll. 3x rolls tend to lean in to the fact that they are 3 play and use a standard 1 ply roll as their base point so they have the same sheet count. 2x rolls seem to use a standard 2 ply roll as their base so the standard roll is the same sheet count as a 1 ply roll but actually has close to double the sheet count of the 3x rolls. It's weird.

  • This would be the dumbest thing since brexit so it's entirely possible that it's true.
