I’ll have to Check out some teviews. I used to have the Bose quiet comfort at work and i bought a pair for myself after leaving. The noise cancellation and mic sound quality are pretty good. Would be interested how these stack up.
Great write up! As for wired headphones I can wholeheartedly recommend the KZ EDC Pro. Very reasonable price and they have removable cables with both a 3.5mm jack and USB C Cable.
KZ are great value for money - I’m not affiliated with them or anything.
Fair point! In the end, everyone needs to use what works best for them. I do concede that I’m not really familiar with accessibility issues and I perceive the accessibility options to be lacking in the distros I know. Maybe it will change in the future and I hope it does :) thank you for your contribution!
Oh, I get that, it was more of a retro rival question because I read all those headlines about the shit Microsoft constantly tries to pull.
I get comfortable and I’m sure there are some problems and growing pains but if you’re ready to get out of the comfort zone I think it is worth it.
I had the opposite issue where canon decided to stop supporting a scanner with incompatible drivers for windows 10. Linux and macOS were able to use it OOTB without me having to tinker with it. Swings and roundabouts I guess.
I’m not a lemming and am not shoving anything down anyone’s throat, but I guess people are apparently really triggered when someone merely brings it up.
I mean at this point why stick with Microsoft? I get needing a particular software only able to run in windows but other than that there’s really no need.
But for a little while the stockholders were happy. And that’s what counts.
I remember HP in its prime where they would make breakthrough technology and everything was nicely engineered and built to last. Their oscilloscopes and programmable power supplies were made like tanks. Their calculators still work today. Shame really.
It depends, but for me one use case is decoupling the end device from the application.
We have laptops, desktops and phones in our household and rather than installing/updating every single one of them I have a central point for management, with all of the downsides of course (if the thing fails, it fails for all).
When I add a new machine to the network, every functionality an data is already there so I don’t need to copy or install anything everywhere.
