I vote third party/independent at every chance for every level of government. I do the research to see who is putting in the effort to earn my vote and who's just sitting on their ass expecting me to give it to them by default. Last time it was PSL who basically stood for 100% of the things I did. Unless the Dems adopt their platform, I refuse to ever start supporting them.
Thanks. It's a problem I've dealt with most of my life that lead to me never really having friends outside a few people I talk to via text in group chats. Last year I decided to start seeking help to make my life a bit easier and it has helped, but waiting till I was 30 to work on socializing instead of doing it when I was in school has made it hard to actually make friends with people that live near me and not several states away.
There's always actual progressives on the ballot. It's just too many have fallen for the "lesser evil" brainwashing that they fail to see it. It's no different than the red scare crap we're still trying to kill.
Being "not Trump" literally only worked cause of Covid. If that didn't happen, I can almost guarantee he would have won 2020. As annoying as it is, the people that would vote for a Dem candidate need to be convinced to do so and no amount of calling them lazy or accusing them of being terrible people will change that. Blue no matter who won't work.
Not a lie to be found. This is a better mindset than all the morons that think it will be fixed at the ballot box and can just rely on the people in power feeling bad cause of peaceful protests once every few months (if even that frequent).
Looking at my Steam wishlist, Dead Cells is the game that's been on there the longest. It looks like a fun game, but it also being a roguelike always has me hesitant to pull the trigger on it.
Imma save this comment and come back to it once my mental state is in a better place. Like I said socializing tends to give me panic attacks unless I'm well medicated. My therapist and psychiatrist are helping me get through this. I even brought up your previous comment in my last session so clearly on some level I see merit in it even if my anxiety ridden brain wants to immediately reject everything.
Yeah man owning a theater at a time when they're struggling sounds like a great idea, especially in my area where Regal had to shut down their only location (closest one now is 1.5 hours away) and the actual like best theater that didn't just play massive blockbusters had to shut down once corporate decided to just never fix their concession area. So all we have is AMC and Marcus. Sounds like a great place to take out loans, go into debt to open a new one.
As for the film festival thing, I don't got the business savvy or communication skills to even begin to know how to attempt that. Like social situations tend to give me panic attacks.
I didn't realize this was the same person from this post on c/autism where they basically asked the same thing. They need a lot of help especially since their family seems to view having any discussions as a bad thing to be avoided.
Yeah this is why I say it to anyone bringing up something political to me irl. I live in a deep red Midwestern state and know pretty much everyone around me is full on MAGA or at least leans to the right. I'm not getting assaulted because some random dude in the locker room believes Newsome is covering for pedophiles while Trump isn't (actual thing someone tried to talk to me about at work).
I absolutely despise work. If there was any way to survive while living alone in a studio apartment or trailer home without having to go to a job I'd do it in a heartbeat. I work a much better job now than I was from 2014-2025, but that's only cause the pay is better and I listen to podcasts all day instead of being forced to interact with people. I still feel my soul being drained when I wake up at 3 AM and have to drag myself there just to do some B's I'd rather not do, but I don't have any other choice given I can't find anything that will pay better without experience or wasting years on a piece of paper.
Problem is there's a ton of interests with jobs that just don't exist really anymore or those jobs pay the absolute bare minimum. Like my main interest/hobby is film and writing my thoughts about every single one I watch (along with videogames, but film is easier for me cause it requires a lot less from me). I don't have any interest in making a movie and becoming a paid critic nowadays is near impossible with how flooded the market is with hundreds of thousands of people doing it for free in their spare time. I could work in a movie theater or something similar, but then I'm back to making state minimum wage instead the almost double that I'm currently making.
Neither is being able to put up with the public's BS for 8 hours a day, including weekends and most holidays, yet we still call that "unskilled labor".
