  • Reject the shareholder Internet, that’s never what we enjoyed about the Internet anyways.

  • You’ll get no disagreement from me on this, Archie is a terrible person too.

  • Archer inconsistently dates/pursues both Betty and Veronica. Pissed me off even as a small kid reading it cause Veronica is a terrible person.

  • lol just out here making wild claims about other people’s bodies.

  • I would not update to windows 11. I installed Bazzite and Jellyfin was a one click install. Plex was more involved. Plus Plex seems to be well on its way to enshitification.

  • I haven’t set this up myself as my internet provider doesn’t do a public IP address per customer. I never even corrected it with plex.

But as far as I’ve heard, the difficult part is setting it up on the host side with tailscale. From your dad’s side, it should just be entering your IP and then the user/password.

    • I don’t see anything in settings or in the official plugins but there seems to be some plugins. Some seem to be to just search and not the pre-roll trailers.
    • There is a subtitles plugin that works well. It is not as cleanly handled for my tastes. You have to search for it on the media landing page. You cannot download and select while playing your media.
    • You can filter and then sort
    • I do not have experience to answer that
    • There is a delete media option. I am transferring a large amount of data right now and cannot test if it deletes it from Jellyfin or entirely.
  • I used Plex, and have a lifetime account, for the past decade. I just switched over to Jellyfin this week.

Feel free to ask any questions that you have about differences or my opinion.

  • Solid suggestions, thank you.

    • Connect devices to same access point. Bypass extenders.
    • PC is wired and phone is connected to that AP.

    • Update both devices.
    • Both are updated

    • Turn off power saving features in your phone and for the app.
    • I believe they both are but I will double check.

    • look at firewall rules.
    • This could be it. I’ll do some reading on that.
  • Properly mounting a NAS so file pickers in programs don't shit themselves or refuse to see it. There's no GUI feature even in KDE for this task. Should not be like this modern day. Mounting anything properly is annoying here.

Oh man, looks like I have a bunch of googling ahead of me.

  • //I tried it with my SO’s android and it worked flawlessly so it’s an iOS issue :/

I’d appreciate some help from the Linux folks. I’ve used Unified Remote with my living room PC for years and years. I was told that KDE Connect was a drop in replacement but the remote input has a 1-2 second delay from touching my phone screen to the cursor moving. Any way to correct that?

iPhone and Bazzite for context. It also did it with regular Fedora. I imagine it has to do with iOS but I looked up the issue and I haven’t seen a real solution.

  • Look up common core

  • Many schools have changed it. You know how I know? Because other parents won’t shut the fuck up about how math classes are wrong nowadays.

  • I apologize. I was looking to just say that some light handed editing can offset the lighting. My kitchen lighting makes my photos look worse than what it looks like in person.

  • I think this helps make it look more appetizing. The lights in kitchens can make food look worse in pictures vs what it actually looks like.

  • An erection is not required for rape.

  • Only one company has apparently learned how to print money and not be ghouls.

  • This will be extremely difficult on troops depending on the base. If you live on base and that base is remote then gas is going to add a bunch to cost. Then you also have to factor in refrigerated/frozen items then it becomes a large hurdle.

  • Actually hilarious to charge $55 a year under the banner of Buy Nothing
