Usually it’s more like “Doesn’t want to spend time and money on a pet” and/or “Doesn’t want to be sad when the pet inevitably passes on”
For me it’s “whatever plant I’m least likely to accidentally murder” so usually a succulent of some variety
But on the flip side I feel like it would take far less bombing power to render a field of solar panels inoperable.
