  • I know what you mean.. mine's on its third battery from years ago. It's one of the extended size ones, even came with a new back cover for the phone because the original can't handle the thicker battery, but it's showing its age now. Used to go 4-5 days on a charge, now I'm lucky to get 2, and looking around there are still some places that sell them, but most of them are stupid expensive or a tad sketchy... or a little of both.

  • Nice! I'm still running my S4 with LineageOS, although it's got some bumps and bruises and doesn't look as shiny as yours still does.

  • What were they saying? I missed it

  • Varies wildly for me but usually whenever the opportunity presents itself, although it mostly ends up being cats. I always have cat food and water outside near my back door for strays. Two days ago I brought a can of wet food for a feral momma and her kittens on the other end of town. (Trying to make friends with mom, but not much luck so far.) Was leaving veggies out for a deer that was living in my backyard this spring until she moved on. Occasionally put stuff out for the birds when I can. I also don't mow certain sections of my yard and my daughter's yard much because the bees love the clover that grows in those spots.

  • The bouquet of flowers is for the fallen family member that task fell to.

  • Curious, from a non-american... does texas have to put it through a special election as well? I've seen several articles talking about it going to a vote in Cali, but nothing about texas needing to do the same.

  • That was my first thought... who makes up the other 17%? Journalists and the occasional hamas guy?

  • Yup, it sucks. Used to be pretty good but they switched suppliers, now it tastes like crap. Macdonalds now has their old supplier (but doesn't use the specific blend) and is way better than the tar they used to sell.

  • I vote for "orange-staining"

  • A lot of people simply walk across the border. (But please don't try this in winter unless you fully understand our winters, many freeze to death that way.)

  • That's exactly what a christian told me once.. 'the bible is accurate because god would have changed it if it wasn't what he wanted.'

  • I'm rooting for you, no matter what happens.

  • Sure, there's still some value in the protests, but that's only one of the first steps. Meanwhile project 2025 is already nearly halfway to the finish line. https://www.project2025.observer/en

Please don't take that as any form of defeatism or anything. I know you guys can do this and win, but every day counts... and they had this planned for a long time.

  • Ya, while I like seeing you guys down there out holding protests, I think it's a little late in the game at this point. The Christian Nationalists have already stolen the keys to America, and they have no intention of giving them back because of a witty sign.

  • Depending on the thrift store, they may not want it unless it has an OS. The ones in my area won't take computers that won't boot up into something. (They're not at all tech literate and will just toss them.)

I snagged a perfectly good laptop out of their dumpster for that reason... just had to toss an OS on it and it ran for years.

  • He= Christian Nationalists. Project 2025 didn't come from his delusional mind, he's just the one with the keys.

  • He certainly made a splash, but he just couldn't handle the pressure.

  • And they will know what you look like. And with some data extrapolation where you are, where you go, your searches, what you're into, your payment methods, where you live, your schedule, who you interact with, and the list goes on.

This is one more data point for big brother to collect and share with the highest bidder, or to get leaked to people who do not have your best interests in mind.
