  • Exactly, and we always end up paying more for less.

  • Worth mentioning that the author is Erin O'toole, former leader of the conservatives. They love selling things off and privatizing them.

  • Yup, they are very effective. Mine is a large two handed one with a curved handle (aprox 5 feet) and blade about 3 feet long, for taking down crops. Even slightly dull not many things put up much a fight with that blade and a good swing.

Similar to this one, except my handle has been whitewashed and has a bit more of a curve. https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMjQ=/z/iwUAAOSwwJ5dvFxp/$_86.JPG

  • Musk wants to expand his (and putin's) disinformation empire to control what you hear and think. They rely on obfuscation to sway the narrative to push their agenda, and bots and deepfakes are an effective means to do that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ5XN_mJE8Y

  • If you really want to know why Musk would do that, this video by Benn Jordan sheds a lot of light on what's been going on with Musk and Twitter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ5XN_mJE8Y

TLDW: Musk wants to expand his (and putin's) disinformation empire to control what you hear and think.

  • America might just end up with free healthcare after all :)

  • If that were true I'd actually be kind of happy... I can't say why without putting myself on a list though.

  • Now I'm starting to wonder if maybe that's where he got it from... It's very old. Maybe the reaper came and he managed to swipe it and gave it to me before the reaper had a chance to come back for him with a newer one.

  • I have an old scythe that was passed down to me by a friend's father-in-law before he died around 20 years ago. I would not want to ever get in the way of that thing if it was swung with malicious intent. It is very much a "fuck everything in this particular direction" type of weapon.

  • No but the people who don't believe in science and can't be bothered to even attempt to keep a virus contained are overwhelmingly religious.

  • I know in Manitoba two of the "hotspots" were reportedly from Gretna (pretty religious) and a church in Winkler.

  • Along the same lines, A lot of times I'll think of saying/doing something but then end up second guessing myself so much that I have to look it up just to confirm I'm not wrong. Then I feel even more stupid for not believing myself the first time.

  • Was having a party and a buddy had a bunch of weed. Due to a noise complaint the cops showed up at the door so I answered it and talked to the cops. Told them I'd turn the music down a bit and all was good.

Just as I was closing the door and going back to the party I heard the toilet flush. My overly paranoid buddy had flushed all his weed down the shitter.

  • That's really good news. Can you imagine having to fight someone who's breaking into your house to kill your family with one arm tied behind your back? That's basically what Ukraine had to do for the last THREE FUCKING YEARS!!! And they still stood their ground!

We should all strive to be as brave and strong as those men and women protecting their loved ones from that cancerous bullshit putin is spreading across the globe.

  • Ah, that makes more sense than what I was thinking.
