  • Sure, never said otherwise, so you can see how someone could theoretically think maybe nft is the next bitcoin and want to get in early.

  • Giving some attention to some sources that worded it better

  • A gun doesn't save you if you don't know they have one until they shoot first.

  • Tbh if they game get them to ask it about that, it fails spectacularly badly, even worse than in general. TV shows and movies it's a bit better on, probably because there are so many episode summaries and reviews online, but if you talk to it long enough and ask varied and specific enough information it'll fail there too.

They may not be an expert at something, but if they have a specific interest or hobby that'll probably work.

  • Chatgpt is unfortunately fully capable of generating false information without ever being given it.

  • I agree with everything you said. And I get the tone at the end. There are certainly things I believe that are wrong. But while I obviously still have biases, I also have a crippling fear of telling someone something wrong. So generally I at the least won't say something to someone else unless I've triple confirmed it's correct.

Which is also how I know I believe things that are wrong, because I've looked into something before telling it to people and found it was wrong. I don't intentionally believe wrong things. But based on that I know there must still be some.

  • I think there's some shared blame. Chatgpt existing and marketing itself as useful makes people believe it. If you have to double check everything it says, what is the point of using it in the first place? This isn't unsolicited information from someone you're chatting to that came up naturally and should be checked, this is something you have to specifically choose to use.

  • Tbh I get it from a certain point of view. We all made fun of bitcoin at first but now it's pretty common for people to wish they could tell their younger self to get as much as they can afford.

I get the idea of not wanting to miss out on the next thing that did that.

  • Could be a thing soon, Android has added "sound enojis" that imo were probably the worst idea ever and only exist for kids to annoy their parents. It's a soundboard with like 3 sounds on the call screen when you're on a call. I could see them eventually allowing custom ones.

  • I like in Australia we never got rid of them. More or less every payphone I saw growing up is still here. But they gave them 2 amazing upgrades:

    1. They are now free to use
    2. They are additionally free Wifi hotspots

Much better than dismantling them imo. They may not be widely used, but it's worth it for those that do. I've even used it once when my phone went flat and needed to call my wife.

  • And lettuce is 96% water. Basically every fruit and vegetable is more water than a human is. But you hand me a bowl of lettuce and call it soup we're gonna have words.

Also humans are more like 60%.

  • Yeah and it's not just about how easy or hard the case is, lawyers know how to follow the rules, procedures, regulations etc. You're honestly just wasting your and the courts time even if you win.

  • It's so we don't have to spam brackets everywhere

    9+2-1+6-4+7-3+5=

    Becomes

    ((((((9+2)-1)+6)-4)+7)-3)+5=

That's just clutter for no good reason when we can just say if it doesn't have parentheses it's left to right. Having a default evaluation order makes sense and means we only need parentheses when we want to deviate from the norm.

  • Another person already replied using your equation, but I felt the need to reply with a simpler one as well that shows it:

    9-1+3=?

    Subtraction first:8+3=11

    Addition first:9-4=5

  • Sounds like PayID in Australia. I find it pretty good and it's starting to get more popular. And yeah with ours you can just set up a new email and link it to an account, then it'll let you choose if you want it to show John Smith or just J Smith when someone sends you money. You can also use a phone number or an ABN (Australian business number).

PayPal is still more popular overall, but I prefer payid for the instant access to the money so I'm glad it's gaining momentum. Nothing but PayPal ever took off over here.
