  • Honestly, I actually save time using Linux compared to Windows. The problems that I had, have and will have are infinitely easier to solve (search engine -> Ctrl+C -> Ctrl-V), instead of reinstalling the whole damn OS (and every single application, game, file, and so on and so forth) whenever the tiniest thing breaks. I actually gain more time to live, because my hair isn't going white and falling out due to seeing AI slop, ads and cookie banners on my OS all the time.

  • Every time that I touch Windows, my doubts about whether I waste my time with Linux immediately get obliterated by reality. Today, I helped someone crop a video, so I opened ClipChamp, a Fisher Price googoogaga pathetic excuse of an attempt at video editing software. The lack of features wasn't even what bothered me most, it was the COOKIE BANNER ON PREINSTALLED GODDAMN SOFTWARE FOR EDITING VIDEOS OFFLINE. If Microsoft actually had to compete with someone else, suicide rates would fall back to pre-industrial levels.

  • Some of the situations that you describe should make the whole hospital feel shame! Not being able to sit upright safely sounds like the first thing that would come into someone's mind when asked about restrictions after that surgery. "Juking" your blood pressure so that the nurses would leave you alone?! Aren't they supposed to have the slightest idea of how this is all supposed to go down? Besides all of that, congratulations on your operation! Since you wrote that you're open for questions, I'll ask a few. Did you choose your own surgeon? If you did, how hard was it to find and choose them? Did you have trouble affording the entire procedure? Did you manage to get paid time off from your work? How are your new organs faring? Did you ever feel any regret for choosing this? Thanks in advance.

Every year, when first-year university students got their hands on the internet for the first time, they would rampage through the noble message boards with their barbarian netiquetteless ways. Many dreaded the annual influx of newbies, and their worst nightmares were finally realized when the internet was opened up to the greater public.

  • I'm not old enough to have known the old internet, but the photo- and video-based social media never felt attractive to me. The only social media that I used was Reddit, but now I'm here. I appreciate the genuine people speaking their own mind for the sake of speaking around here, instead of the vapid, superficial and clout-chasing ""people"" (read: [fascist] bots) of other websites.
