  • In Italy "uccello" (bird) means penis in a very unformal context, usually used with friends. In Tuscany, for the regional ones, we have "Topa" (female of the mouse) to indicate a very pretty girl, also very unformal and a bit rude. Same translation for "passera" (female of the sparrow). Both can also indicate the literal female reproductive organe. "Gatta morta" (dead female cat) means somebody who acts ingenous or hide her personality under a chill, almost naif mask to act at the opportune moment.

  • Good ev olive oil is something else. Once you try you can never go back to.

    I lived most my life using and tasting the highest quality cause my dad works in the agricolutural field, writing contracts for farmers and etc. and, while not so good paid, the job comes with the upside of the presents from said farmers. Liters and liters of the highest quality oil italy can produce. I think we never (since he had this job) boight a can of oil, and its a pretty big save too considering that kind of oil easily goes for 20€/L.

    When i was out for university, my tight budget meant i had to resort to just "Olive oil". Not EV. Not 100% local. I though "how bad can it be, its still pressed olives!" Bad, very bad.

  • Thank you, i hope i will eventually get to a point were i can reconnect with her, but now it's not time yet, as you said. She would be happy to listen to me and very sympathetic. Really wish i could afford therapy rn haha. I'm lucky to have friends who are happy to listen to me and try to help each in their own way.   • We were together for two years, if you're right i can expect some fun months to come haha. Jokes aside, i think you are right for there were some problema in communications, from both sides but in all homesty i cant say i wasnt expecting the breakup. I smelled it from at least a month before. Im not the type to blame others, im rather more likely to blame me and overthink my mistakes. Thank you for your advice, as i said in another comment i'm trying to focus on university at the moment and my future in general. I just have to accept the fact that there will be someone else, one day ore another. Thanks again, wish you a good day :)

I'll also work all summer so i also hope that will help keeping my mind away. You're right, now its not time yet to confront her. I feel like i would be overrun by feelings, i have to cool it down.   • Thank you for your advice. I always tried to be as trasparent as i could and i think im ok with myself and how i behaved (mostly). You are right, sometimes things just happen and people just move away from one another. But one thing im scared of is losing her also as a friend. I sincerely hope i can grow out of this whole situation and come back to a friendship. I know it will be almost impossibile to get back the same exact relationship we had before all the dating, but i hope we can at least get back to being just normal friends. It would suck if we were to lose each other forever. But yeah, i guess i just have to find the courage to finally turn the page, insted of hoping we could rewind.   • Thank you for your advice and your kindness :) i would love to go to therapy, but sadly all the money i make with work goes toward future rent for university and expenses. Whenever ill have some money be assured that therapy is the first thing i will spend it on haha. About your second point i think you're right, away from the eyes away from the heart (dont know if its used in english). As i said i unistalled instagram and the fact that she lives away helped about the no contact. The spare occasions, as i said three if i remember correctly, where i saw her were for graduation parties of good friends i had to attend, so i had to swallow the pill. On august she's gonna go abroad for a year with the uni so i guess that will help haha. Thank you again for taking time to read and respond, have a good day :)

  • I'll add Dovo from Germany and Kyone from Netherlands. Also i suggest not buying carbon steel razors cause at least in my opinion they suck big time.

  • For Italy i'd say withoht a doubt Romanzo Criminale for the shows. (dk how it's called in english maybe Criminal Novel?). It's really something else how cool is that serie. For the movies i'd say the "dollar trilogy" from Sergio Leone is a must. "The great beauty" is absolutely stunning (won an oscar if i remeber correctly) I would add some classics like 'il medico della mutua" from Alberto Sordi and many others of his films are considered classics. Maybe not a common suggestion but i absolutely love the first "Vacanze di Natale" which created an entire series of sequels (vacanze di natale 2000, natale in india ecc) and a whole genre in Italy called Cinepanettoni, which are comedies (generally funny for a boomer-like sense of humor) coming out near christmas. I found the original much funnier than the others, even after all these years, and it's also a funny and quite spot on representations of the stereotypes of the italian man in the '80s. I might be biased cause i love that time period and since i didn't lived it i love to watch somethings that can "bring me back". Last i should mention Rose Island which is an amazing film for a cool real world story, link to the wikipedia article which i could say contains some spoilers haha. I'm sorry if i didn't provide all the english translations for the titles,and i'm also not sure all of these are dubbed in english or your native language. Hope you can enjoy some of these :)

  • yeah, i'll absolutely check that site, seems to have a ton of good information. i'll probably skip the deadlift regardless cause i've never done it and without help im afraid i'll do it the wrong way and injure myself. but people gave me a lot of good suggestions and exercises and a whole site to look at :) i'll try to gain as much as info as possibile to not end up in a wheelchair and look good this summer at the beach ;)

  • thank you very much, appreciate your suggestions :) regarding the deadlift i think i'll have to skip it since i've never done it and without somebody experienced the risk of injuries is high. i'll stick to the isolations exercise you recommended. my old routine was on 4 days with leg day, then chest and triceps, then back shoulders and biceps and last day a full body. this time ill go 3 times a week so i think i'll evenly spread the exercises on each day with a focus for back day. i'll try and see how i feel with the recovery. again, thank you very much for the precious help :)
