I'm talking literally within hours. This is exactly what they want. They are looking for any excuse they can use to leverage support from border states in deploying automated defense systems.

    There is no scenario where the cartels engaging in insurgency on U.S. soil does not result in immediate shock and awe military tactics in response. There will be no more consideration for civilian deaths. Anybody within shooting distance of the border will be designated as an enemy combatant. That's what will happen. Make no mistake about it.

  • I upvoted you because of the hardcoded pessimism in me, but I think the reality is a bit more complex.

    Everyone directly in the Trump family loyalist orbit obviously wants permanent hegemonic control of the Executive branch. However, the bro-ligarchs really want President VC "Vulture Capital" Vance at the helm. From their perspective this has been a Trojan Horse operation the entire time. The Senate leaders want to maintain power, and they are all thinking of their own long term political careers. Who knows what the fucking House GOP wants because it is filled with reality television freaks at this point, so their opinions don't really even matter anymore.

    The interests of these different factions may be publicly aligned from a PR perspective, but behind the scenes I can assure you that it is going to be a fucking gladiatorial circus of quietly slitting each others throats in order to maintain power for many different diametrically opposed groups that owe fealty to their own wealthy benefactors.

    If we learned anything from the first four years of Donald Trump it is that he has a short fuse, a tremendous inability to rally long term support from even the most sycophantic cucks in his orbit, and that eventually the shit starts seeping out from behind the drywall whether they want it to or not. All will not be well in the kingdom of fools for long....

  • This has been my thought lately as well. Donald Trump is simply a convenient means to an end. He is so ignorant and narcissistic that he will never see it coming when he is eventually given the Julius Caesar treatment by the techno-fascists.

    The real oligarchy that is actually wealthy instead of pretend wealthy is chomping at the bit to get in the big chair permanently. Now that there is ample precedent with multiple assassination attempts on Donald Trump's life, all they need to do is have him assassinated for real, declare martial law as you said, and then install their chosen dictator as the public lever puller.

    They can blame this on whatever patsy is most convenient to allow them to swiftly tighten controls on an unsuspecting public. The ironic part being that in a twisted turn of fate, we may eventually end up in a situation where some of the people who got deported turn out to be the lucky ones. As Aimé Césaire warned, fascism is colonialism turned inwards, and whatnot...

    I'm not sure I entirely follow where you are going with this. My assumption is that you mean by them supporting the path of least resistance to the potential downfall and assumed reorientation of the economic/political system that the only points they have are a result of self-fulfilling prophecy. In which case, I guess I kind of agree because this is somewhat the same from a conceptual standpoint as the Evangelicals who think that every bad thing that happens is a sign of ushering in the rapture and therefore them getting their duty free pass to heaven. The accelerationists obviously have a more cogent point I would argue since it is based around a materialist philosophy at its core, but I generally agree that it is still misguided none the less...

    Yeah, I hear ya. I try to keep that stoic mentality that the mission hasn't changed just because the circumstances have. It is just annoying to always feel like you can so clearly see the issues coming from a million miles away, and yet with all of the advancements we have made society still manages to hit the iceberg anyway.

    Get involved at the local and state levels. Those are our easiest avenues to affect change going forward.

    My personal life has evolved over the last year in a way that this has actually become possible, so I have been intellectualizing on how to actually do this effectively now that the proverbial other shoe has dropped this week. I am heavily considering how I can utilize my voice & my life path in a way that is politically expedient and does some real material good in the world that's for fuck sure.

    And over the next 4 years hope a halfway decent candidate that puts the people and worker protections at the top of their list of issues to run on and support the hell out of them. Or if you’re eligible, run yourself. I’d happily support an average citizen running for their peers.

    One can only hope that through the madness it becomes a centralizing force that perhaps effectuates the rising of a new breed of stronger, more voracious, and aggressive leftist candidates who leave behind the PC culture virtue signaling communication strategies in favor of something more akin to Bernie Sanders & Noam Chomsky mixed with Eminem & Immortal Technique. Until the left is willing to shake up the cultural hegemony of institutionalist thinking in favor of some more militant rhetoric we are going to continue getting curb stomped in the information war. It is time to lose the civility, put on the fucking plate carrier, and treat these right wing hack commentators with maximum intellectual disrespect in my view.
