  • Thank you. I figured whoever posted it just decided to call it that, but nope... Unfortunately it's also right there in the article. I don't understand why they'd use it when so many other established terms are way more suitable, for example Carpet Bombing.

What Israel is doing is fucked up, but it's not scorched earth.

  • You can also torrent all movies. That way if you want to watch it again later on you don't need to download the whole thing again like you would with streaming. Streaming is really just downloading without saving.

  • Well yeah, I'm probably not the only daily active user who stopped visiting all together... after 10+ years of daily active use. They brought this on themselves.

  • Yep, it's been well established for a while. I learned about this 25+ years ago in elementary school. But instead of doing anything since then, we added 2 billion people to the population.

  • Thought this was going to be onion for a sec until the second paragraph. My initial thought was yes, I too am celebrating Christmas for the first time this year on Christmas...

  • She matched with you because she wants to fuck. Ask her out bruh.

  • I feel you underestimate Saudi Arabia's ability to be totalitarian. And while the population might disagree with leadership on this issue, it doesn't mean they disagree on all issues and are about to start a revolution about this one issue.

But, more importantly, Saudi Arabia is the USAs most significant ally in the middle east. Losing access to American made weapons is more worrying to the Saudi Arabian Royal Family than losing the popular support of the domestic population. Because with American weaponry one can easily coerce the domestic population.

I feel those intentions to normalize relations are still there behind closed doors and will play out in the long run.

  • Tobacco companies must love anti-ecig regulations like that lol.

  • The way it stands right now, where base wages are not sufficient, is specifically because of tipping. Until people stop tipping, employers will continue to use it to subsidize wages that they should be paying. Whereas if people stopped tipping, the employers could not do that.

  • In Germany downloading Darude - Sandstorm would get you jail time too....

  • Jersey

  • But like....why even care as the shop owner? They provided an ID so you did your job. The risk of arguing with a babyfaced 25 year old from New Jersey on vacation seems overkill to 'protect' some 20 year old soldier who is home on leave with a fake ID from having a bud lite.

  • Yep, tipping is fundamentally unethical.

  • Drug dealers are arguably pretty evil...but there is undeniably huge demand for the products. And getting rid of a dealer won't solve addiction itself.

  • In order to actually fight climate change, we should start by trying to reduce the population in the future. Less people = more resources per person.
