Idk what the issue with too much caffeine is. Like, even my math teacher told me to be caucious but I dont feel exhausted at the end of the day like on Coffee.
I get anxiety issues from Coffee and tend to feel completely exhausted at the end of days. I try to ditch it and mostly replace it with Jasmine Tea, Oolong or Yerba Mate
As an Arch user. I wanted to use Arch at work too. Well, they want me to use Kubuntu (or any other prefered Ubuntu, but I like KDE so I do what every other dev uses)... except for Home Office ofc. Arch.
Still. I hate this stupid update thing. Suddenly I get 20 notifications of KDE system wanting a reboot because of updates and Firefox doing exactly this.
The worst. When I open a new tab by middleclicking a link, the tab crashes. I restart Firefox and the new Tab is gone forever. Sometimes its easy to get what I saw but not always.
I had issues with my Nvidia gpu and Wayland Desktops.
Especially with the new Steam Big Picture mode both Linux and Windows being laggy.
AMD on the other hand had one issue in Windows where my friend told me to reinstall the drivers because the second Monitor couldnt be detected at random times when rebooting.
On Linux on the other Hand... zero issues. Literally. I am satisfied how good it works compared to trashy Nvidia having constant issues. Even on Windows I had issues with Nvidia because you need to sign in and download the drivers. Sometimes there is an update and you never know, and wonder why your game doesnt work. Well, because you need the newest update suddenly. Not with AMD on Windows. And on Linux. You dont even need to install amything. Mostly preinstalled Mesa drivers but I am not that certain.
As I was coding in C++ my own Engine with OpenGL. I forgot something to do. Maybe forgot to assign a pointer or forgot to pass a variable. At the end I had copied a NaN value to a vertieces of my Model as the Model should be a wrapper for Data I wanted to read and visualize.
Printing the entire Model into the terminal confused me why everything is NaN suddenly when it started nicely.
I assume as this is a Gaming mode, its purpose is not to avoid waiting for features. But close the entire desktop which may use up to 1GB RAM and a by of CPU. Which definetly impacts the game by some fraction. Doesnt matter how tiny, its just what gaming modes are having as focus I assume.
The next thing I would never see on a desktop is FSR which gamescope has.
I thought its an entire different desktop. Especially itd not possible to run gamescope while a X11 Desktop is running so I guess you are wrong with "bypassing". Its just switching to gamescope. Its a Wayland compositor. It does even less than a Window Manager (is this right?)
I guess this is to figure out what is also possible on Linux, and getting to know that not all problems or missing features apply to other distros.
Sometimes you can lwarn amazing stuff, like a KDE distro can be customized to your liking while a Gnome desktop is a nearly forced workflow and design but can be slightly changed with buggy extensions.
I think wlroots is the standardized thing. Many WMs use it but desktops need to switch over to it afaik. I think KDE talked about doing this for plasma.
I am unsure what wlroots really is and maybe its not a libcompositor you were talking about but similar.

But I try to mostly use Jasmine tea for now.
