Honest question, but what makes librewolf BETTER?
In firefox you can easily toggle off the studies telemetry bullshit in the settings. Librewolf is just firefox with those things ripped out right?
I cant even think of any legit reason to do this. To protect children? The government does not care about children. Its why so many suffer in poverty. Watching tits online is the least of their problems.
The only reasons i can think of is control. Forcing people to give up more information about themselves. Because knowledge is power.
Sorry for the rant, but this is something that sometimes really gets to me.
Its like people can only focus on 2-3 things at once. And those 2-3 things WILL be forced into every single conversation online. Locally, there was an article about some company that was scamming and threatening people. And so many comments under that article are people going "FREE PALESTINE!"
And i get it. Yes, free Palestine. 100%. But do we have to focus on this in every single fucking conversation?
Or they will go "Are you gonna write an article about Gaza!?" While that writer literally wrote a huge article about it the day before. But they don't give a shit. They just want to yell it at people and
And again, i get it. The genocide in gaza is EXTREMELY important. But can we for the love of fuck also talk about other things without some comment activist yelling at people about it at every opportunity?
Just a LITTLE bit of space to talk about other issues? It feels a bit like the opposite of Zionists. Where in every opportunity they yell "DID YOU CONDEMN HAMAS YET TODAY!?"

And both of these things are incredibly important. Please don't think i don't think they are. But can we also talk about other problems? Or about happy things?

The amount of horrific photos and videos of dead Palestinian kids i have had shoved into my face is not okay.
I think they mean that if the standard OS was Linux instead of Windows, and therefore everybody had full control of their computers, that if windows was suddenly released and installed on all pc's instead of Linux, people would still shrug and be fine with it.
How does that work though? Do you pick a cryptocurrency at checkout on for example steam, and then it charges your creditcard or bank instantly to the crypto currency and then instantly steam?
I do not use crypto currency so i don't know if that is a thing. Is that what you mean?
But that is the problem. It still is my 10 if i have it in my wallet. And until i pay with it, it can fluctuate in my wallet.
Unless i guess i buy the crypto coin and immediately pay with it. But that is more of a hassle to buy something.
If i own money in the form of crypto currency and within a day it could be worth half, it is just not viable. Its too much of a gamble.
Corporations just want you to keep using their shit.
But for someone who has ADHD and is autistic, streaks and gamification can help me a lot to make something a habit.
I can't afford anything with how high prices are for everything. And most of the "lower" priced stuff still comes from places with horrific work conditions.
But at least i can afford the pants and shirts on Shein. Or some random tech stuff on AliExpress.
I barely every buy clothing. But when i do, its either from a thrift store or a place like shein and temu. Because everything else is outrageously expensive.
I thought the same about the 8bitdo pro 2, until i bought one and actually held it. Its my favorite controller i have ever had. It fits so perfect in my hands and feels high quality.

I use Firefox on everything EXCEPT my Steam Deck. Firefox will not let you open the dropdown menu to exit, make videos fullscreen etc. And when a notification pops up, your firefox is now 100 by 30 pixels...
I wish they would fix it already...
I can use firefox in desktop mode but i don't like having to switch to desktop mode and wait for everything. Then switch back to play something.
