  • It wouldn't go over in Canada either.

  • I'm not sure what to think about this. If there are no restrictions, how do you prevent creepy guys pretending to be trans from going into a female bathroom?

  • Am I doing the math wrong? If he was 80 years old, he was born in 1946. VE day was in 1945. How could he be a Holocaust survivor?

  • If ever there was an EWW moment, this is it.

  • I don't know. It's soft and warm.

  • lol. Perhaps they used meatloaf to test it.

  • According to the article, Canada is above the average EU member on property rights protection, judicial independence, regulatory coherence, trade openness, and social security systems, low corruption, regulatory clarity, and overall investment climate, higher education quality, corporate research and development spending, patent registrations, and the diffusion of advanced technologies —from broadband infrastructure to digital services. The next line: In short, Canada already behaves like a de facto member of the club in all but name.

  • When we traveled to Switzerland, we stuffed 15 kg of Lindt in our suitcases.

  • You are implying that other discount companies don't use the same sources. I'd have to see evidence of that before I bought into your message.

  • They originally started as stone masons but evolved into a secret club kind of group.

  • Yeah, they're basically the same as Masons.

  • How did that work? There must be a couple dozen different countries on Lemmy. Does it rotated between the countries?

  • It's where Masons were initiated. I couldn't find out much more. I have a friend here who's a Mason and asked him about it. He said he didn't know anything about it. (or wouldn't tell me)

  • I heard it refered to as an inverted tower.

  • On first perusal of the title, my mind read "combustable cars."
