  • Probably for the best because “You literally asked” has a very specific meaning, which was entirely incorrect here.

  • Nice edit. Nah, I didn't ask anything mate

  • Asked what?

  • So in an apple enthusiast community, you're pitching degoogled android?

  • I hope so. I've been holding off just getting another 4K for the TV that doesn't have one for so long now, under the assumption that a new one would be announced, but each event has let me down. To be honest, the current 4K is already excellent but I'd be gutted if I bought one and then a new model comes out the following week.

  • So am I. I'm gutted it wasn't announced yesterday, it would have been an instant purchase.

  • This probably isn't the thread or community for you then.

  • Degoogled android is not one of Apple and Google

  • Hate to overuse the word "ecosystem" but that's the silver bullet for me. I used to be an Android user, but bought the kids iPads years ago. I bought one for myself during lockdown when I decided I'd like to learn to draw digitally, then over the years bought an iPhone, then AirPods, then an Apple Watch, iPhones for the kids, an Apple TV, subscribed to Apple One etc.

It's expensive, sure, but everything is just so seamlessly and flawlessly integrated. One device on its own could arguably be better or worse than a competitor's, but all together it's not even a contest.

  • Not one of the two, but each to their own.

  • There is absolutely a lesser of two evils here

  • Not nearly in Google's league

  • Well that's the thing, is anyone ever really missing anything of significance from a new phone?

Four years is the longest I've had one phone, so I just assumed I'd upgrade but now that I've got the opportunity, I'm not sure it's worth it. Probably the only two things I'm lacking are USB-C and whatever Apple Intelligence features eventually arrive.

I've always previously gone for top spec phones essentially for the cameras, but of all the new devices, the Air is weirdly the most appealing to me. Not because of its thinness, but because of its weight. Every time I pick up my daughter's 12 mini I'm jealous of how light it is compared to this brick of a 13 Pro.

  • Only in the US would chocolate milk be described as healthy.

  • Exhaustive data harvesting

  • Weird, the description was always there, but I did fix a typo shortly after posting. Federation glitch?

  • My apologies

  • I enjoyed this. A shooter with a different feel and a vibrant palette, and genuinely funny in parts.

I also got banned from the Xbox subreddit a couple of years ago because of this game. Apparently a photo of the in-game sounding rods was inappropriate. Mate, it's literally an unedited screenshot from an Xbox game.
