  • Ahh, that would explain why I've not seen it. Hate me some video updates, love me simple text.

Cheers mate for providing the source!

  • I dont disbelieve this - but where did you see that announcement? I wish to know more, and potentially cancel my preorder depending on what I see. I went hunting in their usual channels for updates but not seeing anything related to this.

  • Not to be pedantic, but high blood sugar symptoms are more like lethargy, constant thirst, frequent urination, irritability, and at a certain point, straight to coma as the blood turns too acidic (DKA). Nothing as exciting as seizures in there.

Only because having been around a few people who were diagnosed as adults, and these very basic symptoms were overlooked, so the more people aware of them, hopefully the less people that need to visit the ICU for DKA

  • The Toebeans! So cute

  • I just took portable ones and ziptied them to my balcony connected to a solar generator. Works to feed all my electronics and server equipment. It only connects to the grid if its depleted, never feeds power back in.

So you can still do this in the states, so long as you're not feeding into the grid.

  • White kittens with pink beans are the best, and bloody adorable to boot.

  • I humbly request that you capture images of furryosa's toebeans to share one of these days.

  • I see you found a space on top of the cabinets to cast aspersions on the fridge top squatter in the comic.

Would make for an excellent hidden panel.

  • I've had to touch the derailuer on either of my MTB a grand total of once a year when I give them a once over for maintenance, or when I eat dirt and rip them off the frame - not the drivetrains issue there though, purely rider skill issue.

It rather tweak a cable once a year, or heck even a few times a year than charge a battery every few weeks.

  • I was assuming a box that would mount on the rear triangle, but no. Threads straight into the derailuer in a perfect position to rip it and the derailuer off in one go making everything useless.

Oh, and its more ewaste. Cable shifters work perfectly fine, I don't understand the general obsession with adding more electronics and batteries to charge to a bike.

  • Yep. Smaller, more energy efficient (extremes expensive electricity here, over 1€/kW at peak time summers), and more temperature resiliant (had to shut the rust based nas down in peak summer months as it could not keep drives cool enough with 3k rpm ippc fans)

11x 4tb drives in mine. Raidz3. Paired with a Xeon and 64gb of ram. All in a 5L case.

  • Bonding, or is the cat trying to borrow the braincell?

  • I dont need much in a laptop, it would be replacing my Lenovo x220t thats really starting to show its age now. So even a 13th gen is a vast improvement, I was just hoping for a more efficient chip for battery life, or a higher performing one so it'll last as long as possible, since I try to keep hardware for as long as possible

  • I have been waiting for something like this from framework for ages now, super pumped to order one.

Specs are a bit disappointing, so here's hoping it gets a bit beefier cpu option in the future

  • It has always confused me why they dont use an existing standard like an XT90 as the connector. Two chunky 12v leads that can carry the power needed.

  • Is X1Plus available for the P1S? If it is, that's what you should switch to in LAN only mode. Can slice with anything and feed it over to the printer.

It's what I did with mine, even though it was in LAN only mode already. Switch over before they disable that option. Already working on selling it though so I can get a Prusa CORE.

  • Their 65" signage TV with CM4 slot retails at 1300$, while its not a fancy micro led with direct lighting, it's never going to spy on you. To me thats a worthy tradeoff. If I needed a TV in my life, thats what I'd be getting.

  • Good. These things are electric motorcycles, not bikes. See far too many kids on them not obeying any laws and putting themselves in incredibly risky positions, or injuring others being places they shouldn't. I'm all for cracking down on this, as they should require registration and motorcycle lisence to use.

Plenty of electric micro mobile options out there that dont put the kids/users and others at massive risk of injury.
