  • No issues with GrapheneOS as their sandboxed Google Play Services are 1:1 bug compatible with built-in ROMs. MicroG is hit or miss though.

  • Looking great! So niche that I would like to some more 'unix porns" like these.

  • Nice one!

  • I would shortly say LineageOS for customisation (root, microG) while being insecure and somehow private While GrapheneOS is private, secure out of the box that customisation is possible (rooting for example or Shizuku) it's security burden and flaw and defeats the purpose of the OS.

iodeOS I haven't used so Idk

  • Sometimes you can see the discounts when they happen on their site. Other than that I don't know any.

  • There is also Molly in which you can add repo to your F-Droid client

  • I do use it for tracking studying time or cycling.

  • Yeah I'm waiting for the RedHat's Nova too to see it in action. This GSP doesn't seem that bad tbh and I don't think it's the source of our headaches. But it looks like the future is bright for Nvidia driver Linux stack.

So NVK is succesor of Noveau while Nova being a new open source driver?

  • Great approach in this thread!

  • Thanks for such a detailed explanations. That's what I meant, I would love to avoid official drivers headache that causes you to avoid recommend Nvidia. Still there are some things that you cannot avoid it. Things I have in mind are better than AMD / Intel GPU with Mesa:

    • Blender
    • ML / AI / CUDA and so on
    • DaVinci Resolve (and other creative stuff like Blender above)
    • RayTracing
    • DLSS (FSR is catching up but this is #1) I would love the Nvidia support just to be stable.

for the encoding and decoding I would choose Intel. For gaming AMD as I'm currently right now with Bazzite.

  • I'm just wondering if they can deliver the same experience as AMD GPUs with Mesa graphics. In terms of Wayland support and being performant.

  • Typst for presentations? 🧐

  • Yeah truely multithreaded games are a rarity (and hard).

  • Any performance benchmarks or good gains? Better Wayland support would be nice also.

  • It is. Same as NewPipe but they are using different extraction methods I think.

  • I think they are preparing their next edition soon.
