Side note, I played this one when it came it out and it's an absolute banger. I went in with fairly mild expectations, but the gameplay was really solid and the story absolutely blew me away. The voice acting was very strong too; definitely recommended even at full price.
Yeah, the consensus seems to be that Chuck essentially engineered this new "deal" but he knew it would be wildly unpopular so he had only the senators who aren't up for election next year vote yes, while he voted no to keep his hands clean. Classic slimy bullshit from a classic slimy bullshitter.
We're doing both. Mamdani and the new DNC leadership are proof of this. Please don't turn this into a false dichotomy; voter apathy still needs to be challenged at every turn, along with demanding better of our leadership.
I defo think we should run AOC over Newsom. That said, people staying home because voting for the lesser of two evils "violated their moral code" is how we ended up in our current situation. It is unbelievably selfish to prefer to say "at least my hands are clean" as the world grows drastically darker due to your inaction. I really hope we get to vote for AOC in 2028, but if we don't, then I am begging you to do some reflection and change your attitude.
The U.S. and Russia are frequently referred to as rivals as well. Just because you often see the word used in certain contexts doesn't mean it doesn't exist in others.
