  • You the leftists? 😂

  • Yes, but I don't completely believe this. I think it can get worse.

  • You are so cool.

  • We forget how disturbingly cruel and barbarian groups of people and the state can be.

  • Imagine something going wrong here, like a balloon pop in the background. These guys would probably just massacre everyone.

  • Russia uses nuclear capable missiles almost daily since the start of the war so I don't know what this article is about. But I also admit I didn't read it.

  • Not really a fixation that's too strong of a word.

Besides Denmark let's US do whatever they want there , always have.

  • In don't think any political analyst ever thought Greenland would be in question.

These are truly shocking times no matter how anyone saw it coming.

  • Nice setup 😁

  • Yeah, it's interesting how strangely development is presented, like programming is only about writing code. They still do that when they tout ai coding capabilities.

I'm not against ai, it's amazing how quickly you can build something. But something small and limited one person can build. The whole human experience is missing, laziness, boredom, communication and issues with communication,... to actually build a good product that's more than a simple app.

  • Maduro is deeply unpopular in Venezuela and the country is in a really bad place.

Sure, America is probably one of the main reasons for that, but Maduro is high up there himself.

Best case scenario, this could turn out ok. Worst case, for the average person, probably not much difference.

  • The real world is influenced with what billionaires project. It's not separated.

  • 🥱

    Whatever you say boss.

  • Lol. First you state the obvious. I don't think anyone could interpret his comment in any other way. Then you think I'm naive for saying another obvious thing.

Did you just learn a a new word and wanted to use it?

  • He's not going to cancel elections. He doesn't need to do it. He can delay results claiming fraud or not even that, just ignore the Congress.

And maybe he won't even need to do that. Just purge voters, strict voting laws enforcement, gerrymandering, just plain voter fraud.

And maybe he won't even need to do that, because republicans may still keep both houses without any fraudulent activity. Yes. There is a good chance that happens. You maybe read of a few disappointed voters, but most people are still 100% maga.

  • Technically it probably won't happen before the next presidential elections.

  • So blatantly, that I can imagine just a full fascist takeover of USA next.

  • I work a a software company that mainly develops one online software and people are used to work with computers. But even here I feel like there is some strange invisible barrier.

IT was trained to work on windows. What we do - everything works. The cost is there, calculated, it's actually pretty small compared to everything else.

Changing is just unimaginable for a company like that - to take this risk, and for so little upside.

At a user level, almost no one would have an issue. But at the process level, damn.

  • I switched to Manjaro and it's like nothing has changed for the work I do now.

At work we use windows and I don't imagine that will ever go away. I don't know enough about this stuff anyway, but I think there is to much work and risk involved to change.
