  • Fucking psychopaths would see the Palestinian laborer crushed under the boot of theocracy purely because "they shoot at jews sometimes tho."

  • Murdering civilians intentionally is inexcusable regardless of how many.

By your logic literally every genocide the US supported and engaged in would have been completely excused had they just struck the right KD ratio by throwing their death row inmates at the enemy first.

  • Murdering filipinos to upset the israelis. Yes, totally a naval blockade and not just unhinged terrorism.

  • It ain't ghoulish to point out that theocrats aren't part of liberation you fucking twat.

"Critical support to the spanish inquisition in their struggle against wester imperialism!"

That's you, that's what you're trying to do whenever you try to act like the houthis deserve anything but to get shit on for what they've done to their own people, nevermind the civilians they're murdering for happening to be in the region.

  • Enforcing a punitive economic strategy isn't the same as engaging in glorified pirate terrorism because Iran told you to but you totally insist it's for palestinian liberation toats mcgoats my dudes!

Speaking as a Palestinian, fuck the houthis and their opportunistic bullshit with a hot iron.

  • I mean spotting it in only 3 days feels like a pretty big feat in of itself, unless this kid had access to a database on one particular star's brightening and dimming or it's potential weeble wobbling about, he did in 3 days what usually takes weeks at a minimum if it's a planet the size of jupiter or bigger.

  • Because their religion isn't christ, it's racism

  • Reminds me of all the right wing commentators that shat themselves raging over women writing "Your husband doesn't have to know how you voted." in the women's room stalls.

  • The only way someone could pretend they're the same is if they're either well outside where the differences are clearest, or they just aren't paying attention and getting all their news from someone from the first category.

"Both sides same" and any attempt to act like there's a dimension where it totally applies trust ne bro is a position fundamentally rooted in the privilege to feel a negligible difference between annoyingly status quo adherent centrists and actual goddamned fascists.

Not to mention how that specific meme implies queer folks and black people aren't a part of the working class, which just kinda gives the whole game away with what a lot of people in american right wing politics, and a depressing number of self proclaimed progressives and leftists, are actually saying whenever they bemoan that we're not paying enough attention to the working class instead of tackling social equity issues.

  • cared more for keeping the country together than the interests of PoC

You say that as if the country staying together wasn't one million percent in the interest of all the black folks that separatism was sparked for the explicit purpose of keeping enslaved.

You strike me as the kind of person who thinks the answer to frustration with democratic status-quo on Israel right now is to let the guy who served them West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Golan Heights on a silver platter back into office, either because you're bad at math or because you think looking like you're bad at math is better than getting called out for being a fucking traitor and collaborationist.

  • Reminder that Marx and Lincoln corresponded via letters, and that Marx was impressed enough to call on European communists to volunteer with the US military to get good exercise in hunting down slaver scum for sport.

  • There's a difference between "y'all need therapy" and "in need of extended mental institutionalization", and we can't just write off behaviors we're uncomfortable with as deriving from some mental malfunction, that's how you get "it couldn't happen here" rhetoric.

  • You just raised two examples of the right expressing exactly what they want to do to defend using terrible slogans that don't actually convey what is really intended as policy.

Other people being better communicators than you does not justify intentionally continuing to be a bad communicator, especially when you're trying to oppose them being a better communicator with bad faith intentions.

  • But that's the exact danger, if we don't craft our propaganda and rallying calls to suit the audience who aren't in the lingo loop that we're in, then we're never going to break out of the insulated community to reach coalition partners in actually implementing the change we need

  • Yeah, but that's the rub, we still need clear communication.

A slogan is only as good as how little work you need to do fleshing out any possible points of confusion or misunderstanding.

  • As dope as that sounds in theory, I seriously doubt we're going to run into zero circumstances where someone turns out to be a threat to society in need of containment who also is not experiencing a mental health crisis that justifies placing them in a psych ward instead.

Also, having zero containment protocols endangers victims of stalking, harassment, and intimidation, which is definitely a bad outcome. Stalkers absolutely need to get thrown into a holding space that can keep them from continuing to escalate behavior until their victim either gets killed or kills them in self defense.

  • I mean it's an inherently anti-consumer policy, the question is if that hit to consumer choice is worth it for the manufacturers that are getting a leg up, or to kneecap a foreign adversary who's making a play at market capture.

Trump doesn't have anything close to the market awareness to make these judgement calls with any degree of accuracy outside of tariffing literally everything that's imported and hoping it hits some of the right spots.

  • Kinda? Humans consume a lot more sugar than they did 10,000 years ago, in addition to other foodstuff that are terrible for your teeth
