  • After departing Chapo Trap House, where he was one of the original hosts, Virgil Texas went on to co-host the Bad Faith podcast with Briahna Joy Gray (who herself was press secretary for the Bernie Sanders campaign). After allegations that Virgil had groomed a teenager via DMs surfaced on Twitter, he vanished from the face of the earth and was never heard from again. Nobody has ever addressed it, and he's still technically a co-host of Bad Faith, despite having done like two episodes and then disappearing. Chapo also never addressed any of it, but announced his departure via a written statement that was very polite and boilerplate, then never spoke his name again. It was all very weird, and the allegations were never resolved as far as I know.

  • Occasionally we still get a glimmer of the legendary poster he once was.

  • Skill issue.

  • Betteridge's Law strikes again.

    • Republicans get elected by promising to do expensive fascism
    • Republicans do the fascism part so hard even libs are repulsed
    • Republicans lose the midterms and Democrats take at least the House
    • Republicans stiff the new recruit ICE agents (
      )
    • Republicans blame the Democrats in Congress
    • Democrats decide to refute this calumny by centering their 2028 Presidential run on paying out ICE agent bonuses
    • Democrats unanimously pass major funding increases for ICE and give them all free healthcare for life
    • Democrats get waxed in the election
    • The Cycle begins anew
  • She's finally emerging from the chrysalis.

  • Egalitarian chaos cultists

  • I don't think she's the one actually writing the headlines, and a lot of the people who are associated with that place may well have different ideological sympathies.

  • Probably a coincidence that this is right after the latest Epstein drop.

  • Best case scenario, it's just massage therapy with a fancy hat on. Worst case scenario, you end up paralyzed.

  • If the EU would grow a backbone, they could really fuck shit up for Silicon Valley in general. Cory Doctorow's proposal about removing DMCA-like anti-circumvention laws and letting the rest of the world design and distribute jailbreaks for all digital devices would be a great start. Prosecuting these ghouls for their many, many crimes would also be fantastic. I'm not holding my breath, but even this kind of legal harassment of

    is excellent.

  • Toddlers frequently go out in public wearing Halloween costumes in March. Letting people play with and try on identities when they're small is good, actually. Is that "social transitioning?" Is it social transitioning when your three year old nephew tells you he's going to be a fire truck when he grows up? Should you sit him down and have a very serious and intense conversation about "traditional human roles?" No? Then fuck off about that same kid wanting to wear a dress or play with dolls or jump in the mud puddle or whatever dumbass thing you've convinced yourself has "gender implications."

  • I think the fact that it is so bad and involves people on "both sides" of the mainstream liberal consensus is an absolutely amazing agitprop opportunity. This is going to disillusion a lot of people from across the middle part of the ideological spectrum. Being able to hammer the fact that the ruling class is made up almost entirely of Draculas who are all secretly friends doing despicable shit with each other despite the public kayfabe is a great opportunity.

  • I mean, it is if they all show up and march.

  • It at least seems like the usual weirdos are taking it seriously.

  • Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth isn't terrible, but it spends a good chunk of time emphasizing how taking climate change seriously would be good for capitalism.

  • Ed Zitron continues to win

  • At least Google Glass was very obtrusive had a big, obvious light that came on when the camera was active
