  • Lmao Biden and the Democrats? Are you high? Part of Bidens covid relief bill included a $15 minimum wage. It was struck out of the bill by a vote of 58-42. A grand total of 7(well, 6, since Sinema isn't a Dem anymore and never really was) democrats voted against it. EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN voted against it.

    Now tell me, why is it "Biden and the Democrats" fault when they actually try to improve things but fail(even if the 6/7 nay dems had voted yeah, that's still at best 49 yeahs), but never Republicans fault when they actually DO vote in lockstep to prevent any democrat endorsed legislation from passing, and when a significant percentage of them are actively trying to strip rights away from people?

    Oh, I forgot to mention; while Biden doesn't have the executive power to unilaterally raise the national minimum wage, he DOES have the power to raise the minimum wage for employees of the federal government, which... he did.

    I do what I can within my means. I vote every election for candidates supporting gun and mental healthcare reforms, I do my best to educate my less politically aware friends, I support activist organizations, etc... I'm fucking sorry if I'm not personally out there torching politicians houses or whatever the fuck you expect me to do, but I've got people that depend on me not being in fucking prison.

  • It's a fucking ignorant ass jab directed at the wrong people. The majority of Americans support stricter gun laws, it is NOT the common mans fault that our centuries old political system is set up in a way that a minority party can have so much influence.

    Like I already said, no matter the reasons or intentions, they ARE mocking children being murdered. Maybe it's "lol you guys let children die lol" instead of "lol child death lol", but either way children are dead and they are laughing. Meanwhile, the majority of Americans are horrified by it and pissed off nothing is being done by our government to stop it.

    It's also just incredibly thin-skinned. Really, you're gonna get so offended over a joke about spotted dick that your only response is "you guys have school shootings lol".

  • This is what I feel. I've finished ToTK and Baldurs Gate 3 once(so far...), but beyond that I haven't finished a game in probably years. Hasn't stopped me from having fun in tons of games over the years. I usually play for gameplay more than story anyways, with a couple exceptions.

Reminds me a lot of the guys back in HS who would be super women positive and "feminist" when girls were in earshot, but say horrendously awful shit when it was "just us guys"(I wasn't friends with them either, they just thought it was ok to say around guys in general), up to and including rape apologia in at least one instance. All asshole trump supporters now last I knew.

    And they wondered why 90% of my friends in HS were girls.
