Bit-breaker working in cybersecurity/IT. Only languages I know are English and Programming ones.

Sometimes I write things about technology.

If I told you the SHA256 for this sentence starts with 'c, 5, four, a, and a', would you believe me?

  • Interesting discussion and question, thanks!

I am a reformed catholic. Raised as and confirmed Catholic, but as I've gotten older and more rebellious I've seen nothing but problems with religion. That is, I am not nor ever been an atheist, but I don't believe in any man-made religion as truth. They're shams to take your money; and some do some good for others. I am spiritual and believe in something greater than all of us. Maybe not the puppetmaster, but I feel there is some underlying driving connection and cosmic force we cannot explain or ignore. Your God? My God? Who knows, I do not claim to. But I feel it there and I feel better for it.

  • What phone?

  • Thanks for posting this, Penguincoder! I hope you’re doing as well as possible. I appreciate you and wish you all the best! 💖

Much appreciated 🙏 . Also, Meatwad, here :P

  • It's always the things you think will be done quickly, that take the longest... Tech Debt FTW.

  • Fedora because it's stable and effective.

  • Things that involve your human safety, should always fail open. What a travesty.

  • I find a lot of good content on Reddit, but its different now as opposed to the early days. The good content used to be on Reddit. Now its not, its on one of 6 other sites, and Reddit is just the ad service they're posting on. I am sick of the in joke comments and inane comments like "this". I want discussion.

    Reddit no longer has that.

  • He has no idea what that word means. The word he is looking for rhymes with needy.

  • I recommend Aegis as well. Does what it needs without shadiness going on.

  • Of course they did. There was money to be made. Who cares if its pennies, they got their pennies.

  • Bullshit.

  • Good analysis, I agree and understand.

  • Yep. And you could even be 'extra' and do cool effects with compiz et all. Fancy got noticed by others.

  • GoogLOL

  • The most used one I have is Kill-Sticky. Works well but annoying to have to click my bookmarklet every time I visit a stackexchange site now with the google login crap AND the cookie banner. Else I can't read the actual damn content of the site.

  • Instead of outsourcing to other countries, most of those jobs have been literally outsourced to robots.

Good, those are exactly the types of jobs that should be automated by robots. Not AI generated art and creative.

  • Go-dAmn Sachs is wrong often, but in this I think they're on point. Learned from the Crypto insanity.

  • Old school here, I use mutt. :P on android I use FairEmail and really like it.

  • based on the political views of the people who create it

That is not the reason for the Beehaw switching to another platform, but here's a few of the true reasons why.

  • The current aim of Sublinks is Lemmy parity for V1 release. So yes, I do see Beehaw still federating with Lemmy instances at the on-set.
