Codeberg is only an alternative for FOSS software.
Most of my GitHub stuff for example is private client projects that I cannot simply publish. They don’t provide much value to others and might contain proprietary code. The same goes for private half finished side projects that I‘m sure most people have on their accounts. Codeberg is simply not the right place for this.
Not really. People mostly drink local beer (each city has at least one local brewery) and others buy craft beer. I don’t know anyone who’s drinking foreign beer regularly.
Seems like people disregard the web part of the question and just suggest random apps. The only web interface in here so far is voyager which I would also recommend.
„Active enough“ seems funny to me as Xing used to be pretty active in the past but essentially got replaced by LinkedIn. It seems that Xing has also made some very poor business decisions in the past that contributed to this decline.
Would be great if it’s growing again but in my memory it’s just a dying network.
AI images even just as OG images always make a site much less trustworthy for me. There are so many insane pictures of Elon they could’ve picked here but nope, it has to be AI.
Yeah I always call it the printer USB port. I wonder why it’s so popular there? Maybe it’s the USB connector that is hardest to break or pull off by accident?
Touch? Mac? Airpods? What the fuck are you doing? You aren't doing real business tasks if you're using an iPad.
I'm using it on the phone sometimes to reply to people which I don't think is a weird use case. The AirPods issue happens on macOS and I'm not sure if you're just ignorant but lots of businesses operate on macOS, especially in my industry (ui design, frontend web dev) it's unusual to even see Windows.
Seriously, teams is one of the worst apps I have to use on a regular basis. It’s insanely buggy, especially if you are a freelancer working in multiple teams.
parts of the app don’t load correctly
parts of the app don‘t support touch very well
you get useless notifications, i.e. for a thread you have open or an action you caused yourself but completely miss others
the UI has SO MANY flaws like giving people different colored placeholder avatars in different parts of the app which made me assign tasks to the wrong person a few times
it needs its own audio driver on macOS which is probably invasive and does a shit job with airpods
There’s probably more I can’t think of right now but teams actively kills my productivity and I dread having to open it. I don’t understand how businesses can rely on this so heavily and I‘m wondering how incredibly incompetent the team developing it at Microsoft can be.
Seriously, enshitification is the only thing US companies do well these days. They just dig deeper moats around their walled gardens because they’re too greedy to make decent products that people actually want.
Nice, it’s also just a barcode scanner instead of failure prone image recognition. Its index seems rather small though, first 3 items I scanned were not in the database.
Can’t happen soon enough. Few people want AI and now it will fuck over a bunch of people very directly. No idea how long the investors can keep inflating this bubble now.
Just block it, there’s a bunch of scandals surrounding them and when covid just started, I reported a covid misinformation blog to them that they hosted and they replied they see nothing wrong with it and won’t remove it.
This blog probably caused deaths, substack thought it was fine.
Hello. Yes it's german. D/A/CH (the name of this community) represents Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH) – 3 countries where German is spoken.
