  • I lived in Perth for several years and I've seen 45 degree heat there. It's a desert, so it's dry heat. But that's hot. Real hot. 49-50 is just insane.

  • Unarmed, prone, and surrendered, yet shot to the back of the head. This is murder. That border patrol agent needs to be prosecuted.

  • JD Vance has a law degree from Yale. He knows this is unconstitutional. He knows administrative warrants were a central cause of the declaration of independence. He knows all of this.

  • "Give us your state voter rolls so we can rig elections in your state or we'll keep killing people on your streets."

  • It works though.

  • You'll need at least a Pixel 6 to run GrapheneOS. Preferably one more recent with several years of updates for the hardware.

  • GrapheneOS has virtual Google Play services. You can download and run most apps from the Google store and segment them off to a separate user instance. That's a desirable feature.

  • Seven House Democrats voted for the ICE bill after minority leader Jeffries decided Dems couldn't obstruct the vote and the bill was certain to pass. Of course, this was a Republican bill which Republicans all voted for, but that doesn't matter to these horseshoe left ideologues. They're all in with the GOP, because the GOP sprays accelerationist fire onto the government never mind the damage to peoples' lives.

  • No 2a response. This requires organization by competent people with military training in coordination with state government. Where this is going is obvious now. Citizens need to keep on with nonviolent protests and hope to hell there are retired generals out there willing step up and plan and implement what's needed.

  • There is no statutory authority for the FCC to regulate content over any medium other than over the air broadcast which is licensed. There are regulations that affect regional monopoly status, pricing, etc.

The FCC also has no authority to regulate content in print media, recorded music, live performances, etc. It exists to regulate limited access to public airwaves, not privately owned infrastructure.

  • Keyboard warriors need to shut the fuck up and not instigate more violence. Actual retired military leaders should be coordinating with state governors to plan a organized response.

Do not attack ICE agents. Do not instigate more violence. Let leaders with experience planning guerilla warfare take the lead.

Talking about it online is the dumbest thing you can do.

    1. President Ronald Reagan, Republican, revoked the equal time rule in the 80s.
    2. The equal time rule was limited to news broadcasts in the public interest. It did not apply to entertainment like late night talk shows.
    3. The FCC has no jurisdiction over cable TV, Satellite TV, or streaming providers. Only over the air broadcasts are regulated by the FCC.
  • That's the Senate, not the House.

  • Democrats are in the minority. They can't win this vote so minority leader Jeffries gave up on obstructing it and told house members to vote how they wish. Because how Democrats vote on this bill will not affect its ultimate passage.

This is a Republican bill by a congress controlled by the Republican Party.
