  • The 550 million won ($403,000) civil suit

That is so little. All because her son was kidnapped by the government after running out the front door

  • Right? Is anyone else grateful knowing that we're building medical devices that can help us connect with fully disabled people like they're humans again?

  • I'm eating a jelly donut so this made me laugh

  • Kissing your son is gay

  • Video games haven’t risen in cost with inflation and they’re much better and bigger now

I agree with the bigger, but not better tbh

  • Yes, but like mental math, it didn't go away when we introduced calculators, and there's a correlation between people who have those skills and income levels (which I'm using as a proxy for "usefulness"). The education system needs to adapt to assignments that students can't just paste into ChatGPT and call it a day- students need to keep spending effort learning.

  • Hey ChatGPT ..

  • If you want fulfilling work, join or start an open source project you're passionate about

If you want money, grind Leetcode and go to a better company

But it sounds like you're stuck between those two and yup it sucks

  • Google Chat or whatever uses to be federated via XMPP, but then they slowly started making incompatibility changes. Due to it being such a dominant chatting service, the real federated versions died out.

Basically I'm saying it's not worth it. If you want to support Threads or Blue Sky as a central front page to the Fediverse then go for it, but they don't actually need your support.

  • You mean like everything posted in this community?

  • Websites publish the full article so that search engines and news readers pick it up, but then hide it with JavaScript so humans can't see it. The archive doesn't run JavaScript so it doesn't get the blocked version

  • No evidence offered, and the article spends half the time talking about Elon Musk without relation to the report. I would really love this "news" to present a little bit of investigative journalism so I don't have to validate it myself each and every time something drops

  • The idea for a lot of communist ideologists is we don't need these hyper competitive corporations. The end goal isn't "higher GDP" (or more salary), it's "better quality of life". I think most unions are like that.

  • No lol

  • You can dual boot it
