One of the reasons the GOP is so invested in bigotry, is because it's useful to their goals. They need a boogeyman. Not only does it act as a distraction as they steal from their base, it also acts as a justification for why they need so much power: to protect you from the boogeyman. They choose minorities because those groups have less power to fight back.
Doesn't work for online stuff. This is probably referencing how steam was recently forced to can a bunch of its porn games to appease payment processors.
The US's obesity problem is more complicated than that. It's not just that our portions are big. Americans have to work pretty long hours too. That means much of our lives we probably aren't getting much exercise, and when we get home a lot of us don't have a lot of energy to cook so we probably eat a lot more pre-packaged food. Stress also contributes a lot to weight gain.
And once you have gained a lot of weight, all of those problems, plus the fact that healthcare is so expensive, make it even more difficult to lose.
You should see some of the "American food" they sell in some parts of Europe and Asia. I feel like it's pretty typical everywhere to misunderstand and exoticize other cultures.
Nah, I'm pretty sure it was r/comedynecromancy. They took unfunny comics/memes and made them funny. They were an offshoot of r/comedycemetary, they just reposted unfunny comics/memes to poke fun at.
Singular they. I've had this opinion since long before I even knew about non-binary people. Using "he or she" to refer to a person without specifying gender is clunky as hell.
Honestly, bringing a whole new kid into the world when there are so many out there in the system without parents is pretty selfish too.
I mean I get it. I too, desperately want to be a mother. But if I ever get to a point where I could actually support a child (doubtful), I'll definitely adopt.
I mean. They built it in the middle of a swamp. I wouldn't be surprised if the next time that area gets a particularly heavy rain it'll morph into an extermination camp in a matter of hours.
