  • Oh, we both enjoy out alone time as well, usually when we're home we'll be in separate rooms and feel content with it. It's by talking that I know she feels bad sometimes when I've gone out for a beer with a friend, because it reminds her of how lonely she is. This is why I feel bad for going out, even though she has reassured me that it's OK that I do.

What I miss is probably the time when I could go out without feeling bad for her sake.

  • I know that I see that time through rose tinted glasses, I will not break up with her over this and I will definitely not cheat on her.

I just miss the the time of my youth I guess, but as I mentioned in my post I love her so very much. I'm not entertaining any thoughts of "setting it all on fire".

  • Yeah, it's what we give up for loved ones. I had a banger of a night with a friend last year before his daughter arrived, we went on a pub crawl which ended up with us joining up with a couple of 18-19 year olds celebrating a friends birthday. We all had a great time and went home around at 4ish AM.

I guess it's just a part of moving into a new stage of life, I kind of wish my 20s lasted longer lol.

  • I will most likely end up deleting this, even though I highly doubt she would find this.

We do things together that we both like almost every weekend, be it museum visits, taking a hike in the woods, or just watching a movie. We've been together for 8 years, but we're in our 30s now, she gets along with my friends, I just wish she had some of her own.

My feelings aren't bitter honestly, I just would feel better if she went out to do things without me more often.

  • It was the only active "off my chest" community that I could find, and I felt I needed to vent. Sorry.

  • No problem, I think it's called a sweatshirt. 😄

  • That's not a hoodie though, is it?

  • and talking more money by telling investors they worked.

So that's why she's in jail, because she fucked the investors, not for selling a fraudulent product.

  • Thanks, I'll look into it!

  • Hmm, I suppose maybe I could get GX Works to work on my main pc. It's a pirated copy that our teacher handed out to us, but iirc the installation was fairly simple.

I haven't ever used a VM though, will I have to set it up every time, or can I save the VM and start it up whenever I want to?

  • Yeah, I still need Windows on my laptop for some schoolwork(GX works 2 for PLCs), that I can't get to work on linux.

Really happy with Fedora KDE though, some things require a bit of fiddling, but I do enjoy the troubleshooting process.

  • Rarity, no wings, but horn.

  • I'm sorry to hear that, saying goodbye is truly the worst part of pets. I hope you're holding up ok.

  • Marmalade!

  • I'm currently listening through the entire Horus Heresy in order, only skipped Battle for the Abyss after listening through half of it. I'm currently halfway through Deathfire, and I'm VERY close to just skip this one as well. I just can't stand Nick Kyme's writing, nor his take on the Salamanders.

  • Thanks, I'll put it on my travelling list!

  • Thanks, it's on the travel list!

  • How are the temperature there during August? I have trouble with our Swedish summer sometimes when it's 28°+C, I can't imagine hiking in mountains if it's too hot.

  • Oh yeah, or coconut flakes, my bad, thought it was flaky salt.

  • PC Master Race @lemmy.world
