  • Interesting. I was eating at a restaurant with my mom a few years ago and she accidentally inhaled a piece of food which had the same diameter as her esophagus. It was terrifying. She just pointed at her throat and had this look on her face like she knew she was going to die. She stood up, turned around, and I did what I thought was the heimlich maneuver. I must've done it right, or got lucky, but it worked flawlessly. The food came flying out. I guess we're in that 59%.

The censored posts are coming from elsewhere on the fucking internet, so complaining about them in the comments accomplishes fucking jack shit. The people posting these on Lemmy have zero fucking say in what gets censored, and the censorship isn't fucking going anywhere. Get used to it.

  • I hike year-round and camp March through October. In my experience, the more time you spend outside, the less sensitive you are to temperature swings. I do live in the PNW though, so I'm spoiled by the climate.

    Having said that, I'm extremely sensitive to pretty much everything, and that probably also applies to temperature. I would probably relate to this meme if I didn't spend so much time outside.
