Sure. But they are pretty much the only options in a lot of places. Yes they are shitty companies, but I personally can't think of a good way to get away from them.

Also don't forget, needing to pay rent and pay for food, car, insurance, medical emergencies, oh maybe even an EpiPen and insulin. Also don't forget the credit card debt payments.
