  • So a random mod speaks for Reddit? What kind of BS is this post

As long as Reddit allows this mod to continue his job, they implicitly support his cause. It's why they had to ban all the subreddits that were being creepy.

edit: Time for OP to make a stink on Reddit about it. Not sure why they're posting it here. It doesn't concern me, IMO.

  • Disposability Theory continues to haunt me.

  • VAIgans.

  • I think it was Denmark and/or a province (?) of Germany

  • I'm probably overly cynic, but I can see the Gazans use their kids as a propaganda tool - they will die as martyrs, after all! Not to mention that 75% of Gazans would vote either Hamas or the other terrorist group. That does leave me weary of possible propaganda.

That being said: they do not deserve to die or be genocided. Full stop.

  • says she no longer has breast milk to give him

Then give him solid food? I understand that food is scarce, but it feels weird seeing a fat mom and a skin-and-bones child. Comparing this and the Yemen famine, you see skinny adults. It's weird.

  • don’t come at me, pendants.

Did you do that on purpoise? :3

  • I don’t need reproducibility to the extent that NixOS provides

Alright, that's fair. As a programmer, I've been having a blast using it - being able to quickly setup my laptops almost the same as my desktop is such a breath of fresh air, then being able to copy over most of my config to a WSL setup to employ nix to get there 90% of the way on a Debian or Ubuntu WSL system is just so nice.

But if you don't need its features, or aren't a programmer, I can very much imagine you'd rather stick to a more stateful system.

  • at what’s gotta be greater than normal max screen brightness.

I love misplacing my finger and getting flash-banged by my phone! 😮‍💨

  • Don't know if all androids have it, but if I swipe down near the bottom, it'll pull down the top for "one-handed mode".

I was able to trigger it multiple times until I figured out how I actually did it 😅

  • T9 (the old number keyboard) was the best layout: compact yet VERY usable. And with physical keyboards you could text someone blindly.

I just installed Traditional T9 to replace whatever that MS keyboard was (the swipe feature was nice, but I'm not sure it can beat T9).

  • Alan Turing, I bet

  • If it wasn't several PB (yes, petabytes) of data I'd want a backup.

  • If you're a programmer: NixOS.

Define your OS config, which programs to install, and dotfiles in one repo. Install a fresh OS, pull in the repo (nix-shell -p git, because NixOS doesn't come with git >_> ) and run the command to install the whole thing (sudo nixos-rebuild switch --flake .#wodan for me. wodan is just the name of a config - I have multiple all combines into one repo, so I can share configuration between machines).

Took me 17 minutes to set up my laptop exactly the same as my Desktop. Same configuration, applications, and OS settings. It's so fucking nice.

With Windows, that used to take 2 days to download and install everything manually.

Only downside: You'll need to learn Nix-the-language, nix-the-os, and nix-the-terminal-program, which took about a month of deeply digging into the Vimjoyer and LibrePhoenix channels.

  • Have you heard of Disembodied Tyrant? This song, Winter, is a mix of Vivaldi and Deathcore. Symphonic Deathcore, if you will.

  • Nee hoor, dat doen wij helemaal niet!

  • they can’t fathom going to a woman for honest advice.

Honest advice may not be good advice. I could tell a person "go kill yourself", and be VERY honest about it. Yet it's not good advice, now is it?

  • You’ve been checked kid.

    OK, Boomer.
