Yeah, ideally they wouldn't be there at all but as a socialist state, yet to achieve communism, the free market of capitalism is still required and so then must their representatives be involved in some way.
As someone too dumb to contribute to this debate but still curious: what is the scientific definition of the dictatorship of the proletariat? My understanding is that it is the will of the people, the working class, the proles, being forced upon the capitalists but this might be a very simple understanding.
