  • Every now and again I'll browse through some used Teslas, and occasionally see one that looks like a great deal.

Even justifying it by saying "Buying a used Tesla, no money goes to Elon", I just can't bring myself to seriously consider owning one. It just feels icky, and I don't want to even be remotely associated.

  • 3 people charged since 2018. And "[s]he is the first foreign national"..

Ooh! So scary! Must be a major threat to the very existence of Australia!

  • Fuck stingrays!

Snacking on 50 crabs a day, and killing Steve Irwin smh 🖕

  • I've studied this very closely, and here's what I've learned:

    • There is no fate but the one we make.
    • We need to protect Sarah Connor at all costs.
  • WTF happened to the whole SSO/Identity/federated identity industry?

Wasn't it originally meant to cater for this type of issue? I'm sure it was at least in a commercial context. You could have any levels of disintermediation in a trust chain/network, and as long as one said "age verified > 16", you were good.

I never paid attention on a personal basis, because I would never use google or facebook as a source to sign in to anything...

  • Look, has anyone seen any proof of that?

  • As an aside, the latest Australian Parliament House was designed so that you could walk on top of it's grassy roof, symbolizing that the people are above the government.

Now there are fences around it and you'd be arrested if you tried that.

    The symbolism is still clear.

  • If anyone's situation improves, look into converting credit card debt into a personal loan. The interest in some cases can be a lot less.

Usual disclaimers. Everyone's circumstances are different, and not financial advice.

  • I've used Shutup10 on my Windows partitions for years. Surprised I didn't see it mentioned here.

Good control over copilot and any other Wndows nastiness.

Run it after every Windows update. MS loves sneakily re-enabling some settings.

  • Good to see they are expanding their scope to include electric cars.

Electric cars also have inflated range figures. And there also seems to be different standards of measuring it.

It's not surprising to watch a Youtube clip and hear 'claimed range of 450kms, so you might get 370kms in the real world'

  • Why bother with human intelligence when Signal intelligence is about to become a whole lot easier in Australia.

  • A crashing success?

  • Also known as Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt....

  • As our esteemed PM Malcolm Turnbull said way back in 2017:

"The laws of mathematics are very commendable but the only law that applies in Australia is the law of Australia"

  • We're trying desperately to outdo the UK....
