Every now and again I'll browse through some used Teslas, and occasionally see one that looks like a great deal.
Even justifying it by saying "Buying a used Tesla, no money goes to Elon", I just can't bring myself to seriously consider owning one. It just feels icky, and I don't want to even be remotely associated.

Wasn't it originally meant to cater for this type of issue? I'm sure it was at least in a commercial context. You could have any levels of disintermediation in a trust chain/network, and as long as one said "age verified > 16", you were good.
I never paid attention on a personal basis, because I would never use google or facebook as a source to sign in to anything...
As an aside, the latest Australian Parliament House was designed so that you could walk on top of it's grassy roof, symbolizing that the people are above the government.
