  • Barely stable 30fps is not smooth as far as I am concerned. The original HW got its 60fps patch, so I'll keep waiting for the same on AoC. And in the meantime I'll steer clear of AoI.

  • Yeah I also like the Hyrule Warriors' take on musou games but I felt kind of burned by Age of Calamity's dreadful performance. I ended up not playing that much of it.

Is there any indication that there will be a performance patch for Age of Calamity on Switch 2 ?

  • I do think 22 is indeed too young and that you should revisit this when you get to your thirties.

Your family believing you will change or mind is irrelevant. Your life and identity is still likely to evolve significantly in the next decade or so, regardless of your current marital situation and current state of mind.

  • Merci !

  • Definitely worth it ! Getting rid of the Delta fan high pitch whine certainly made me use my SD more.

  • You should ask Noctua what they think, they have splendid customer support.

I would keep it as an involuntary art piece.

  • There was quite a bit of trendy EA-hate. Some of the criticisms were well deserved though. The game was plagued with severe technical issues at launch: the multiplayer was especially busted.

Also the open world map feels much too small when compared to similar games. I remember the disappoint I felt when I realized "oh this is not the first zone, this is THE zone".

Regardless, I also played Destiny (2) ; while I have to admit it is a better product, I enjoyed Anthem more.

  • I'm likely in the minority here, but I really enjoyed my time with Anthem.

Since it was shitcanned months after release, there simply was not enough content to keep playing... But what was there always felt special.

  • Play BotW first. A few years down the line, if you ever want more and are able to make time for it, play TotK. One should not play them back to back anyway.

  • I played the demo and really liked it at first, as it started out like a Telltalle-style narrative game.

The actual dispatching gameplay loop though, I did not enjoy all that much. It becomes quickly way too frantic for me to enjoy the banter. Plus the actual thing you are looking at and interacting with is a map with glowing icons, i.e. not what I enjoy in video games.

  • Shame that it will very likely be needed, but good that a company is willing to step up. The GuliKit Hall effect sticks for Switch served me well since I put them in.

  • I did exactly that with gulikit hall effect parts 2 years ago. It's surprisingly easy and indeed fixes drift issues once and for all.

  • On one side of the ring, greedy corps which want to profile you better than the NSA does. On the other, drama-hungry and social networks-fueled outrage culture.

That's how an old game giveaway backfires and becomes the scandal of the day.

  • Agreed. As long as their corporate overlords do not fuck up Ars, there is no reason to avoid them.

If (when ?) it becomes an AI slop-filled shell of its former self, then it will be past time to go elsewhere.

  • Oh wow, I just took a peek at its history and it does not even qualify as slop. To the blocklist it goes !

  • I'm going to go against the general consensus here and say you would probably be better served buying a Switch 2. The Steam Deck is awesome but it is bulkier, has less battery life, and is overall less suited for a "pick up, play 10mins and toss is back" usage.

However if you are up for some occasional tinkering, the SD is far more versatile than the Switch and could even replace your laptop depending on your use-cases.

  • On some trackers you can straight up pay to raise to raise your ratio, or even temporarily "freeleech". This is all kinds of iffy, flirting with the scummy.

  • You'd think he'd be better media trained by now. But no, here goes the foot in the mouth.
