  • The company OpenAI also paid for LLM training and then sell LLM to users.

  • So, we have it now, then? Or are you advocating for forced Unionization?

  • So Unions under capitalism?

  • “Workers” is too abstract. Which workers? How is it handled? How do you start new business? Who/how it is paid? Who gets the profit? In what proportions? The natural solution is to have state ownership and saying “the state is the people”, but this is exactly what was done in, say USSR. And it does not work well.

  • Well, if training is included, then why it is not included for the developer? From his first days of his life?

  • In any place where state ownership of means of manufacturing was implemented it lead to dictatorship or dictatorship like state. So, one can see how one can confuse them. But no, I do not confuse them, for one is economic system, and another is political.

So, let me ask, in that model that you describe, who owns the means of manufacturing? State or not?

  • Did not say crony. And yes, there are alternatives like feudalism, you think they worth mentioning? And I specifically mentioned state ownership too, so, you can count socialism (as economic system there too).

  • What’s the alternative? Communism? State ownership of the means of production? Those are worse.

  • But then Russia will not be able to get all that ammunition…

  • That would be SCI: Miami show zoom, where they can identify a yawning killer by his teeth fillings which image was reflected in the window which image was reflected in the eye of a random person far in the background of a shot.

  • What prevents Hamas hiding behind people waving white flag? And what do you think should happen when Hamas shooting rockets (to civilian centers, by the way, specifically targeting cities without ANY military value) when they do it on purpose from civilian objects? Hamas using civilian objects like hospital, schools etc. is well established fact.

As for percentage, take for example Iraq War. Per Wikipedia about 20K insurgence were killed, the civilian casualties, however are in hundreds of thousands. And those insurgence did not specifically use human shield. So, was it genocide too?

I see no reason for people applying double standards to Israel other than banal antisemitism. And, I personally put the blame for civilian deaths in this war squarely on Hamas. They started this war, planned this situation, specifically knowing that what will likely happen next and were prepared for this and continue using the civilian shields.

When you mix religion with nationalism and antisemitism you get dangerous mixture of people ready to go to haven by killing infidels and ready to scarifies civilians for the same reasons. There is no way for Israel and Palestinian people to live in piece with organization like Hamas present, whose declared goal IS genocide of Israel.

  • The problem with this particular war is that Hamas purposefully and in mass uses civilian shield. They do not care that civilians will die, in fact it is absolutely obvious and predicted and calculated outcome of their incursion into Israel. The only way for Israel not to kill civilians was not to react at all, which I think was not an option for them. Any attempt to avoid killing Hamas because of the potentially greater civilian casualties leads only to Hamas using civilians even more and in greater number, leading to even more deaths in future.

  • From Wiki:

JPEG XL supports lossy compression and lossless compression of ultra-high-resolution images (up to 1 terapixel), up to 32 bits per component, up to 4099 components (including alpha transparency), animated images, and embedded previews.

Why 4099 components? Why so many? And why 4099 in particular? 4096+3 with 3 being RGB?

On a side note, 1 Terapixel is just crazy. A square with 1 million pixels has this number of pixels. So, about 1000 of 1080p will fit into this square vertically and about 500 horizontally. How has such eyes to see this all pixel perfectly?

  • I will be in minority here, but she is a teacher of English, and this topic should be taught in social studies. It is unprofessional to do what she is doing.

  • Please keep in mind that it is an average cable, that exists today, the new ones are faster. This is also under sea, where the traffic is smaller than on continent. Also, this is just one cable as opposed to the whole network. Overall, the starlink traffic is tiny.

  • For comparison, an average trans Atlantic submarine cable is about 0.1 petabit PER SECOND. And there are many cables…

  • That’s not what is going on there. Unfortunately for Russian LGBT community, LGPT suppression is selected as anti Western anti democracy propaganda point. People are brainwashed into believing that it is something evil.

  • I blame horses for the words above.

  • From the article:

He also expressed regret, saying, "It is the result of Korea maximizing the bad points of Confucian culture and the shortcomings of capitalism."
